"Brilliant base from which to explore the forested North of Tenerife, just a short hop from picturesque Puerto de la Cruz and loads of good walks nearby. Good access to the main road by car, after the long switchback, but it was too much/long for a stroll to nearby La Matanza de Acentejo in the heat. Hosts Peter and Martina were friendly, but discreet and I couldn't speak more highly of their helpfulness. We had a fab one week stay."

"2 couples from Canada, stayed for a month. This was the perfect place for us. Outside Puerto de la Cruz however within walking distance. Local district had many places to eat and drink. Discount grocery was a short walk, butcher and fruit shops close by. Bus stop out front was nice for getting around. Solid charming working kitchen. Would love to return some day."

"We were greeted very warmly by Irmel and Ronald and given a bottle of wine, some beer as a welcome. Irmel baked incredible goodies and brought them over. "Think Ibiza chill vibes, this place is stunning. The roof top is just spectacular, and the plunge pool and real bonus. The house is very well equipped, but be aware there is no aircon, and I really struggled to sleep in the master. The views down to the sea and the rocky island are wonderful as this place is a good 10/15 mins walk straight uphill from Garachico. The house is in a very quiet neighbourhood and has free parking outside. I will definitely return."

"We were a group of 10 girlfriends (all 50+) who organise a week away for 'special' birthdays when they occur. This villa was perfect for what we wanted. Some of us are at an age where occasional snoring occurs and with 7/8 bedrooms, this meant that 6 of us were able to sleep soundly in our own private room. Bliss!! The rooms were all clean, light and airy with lovely, quirky shower facilities in the room and a separate WC. Towels were provided by the host and each room had a hairdryer. Most of...

"The flat was really nice and spacious and well equipped. However, because of its open plan nature, it was cold despite the owners lending us 2 heaters. It was up 4 flights of steep stairs so many people might find this a problem. It is also high up in the hills and access to and from other areas of the island is very difficult, even with a hire car. The owners were extremely kind and helpful"

"Splendid Canarian home, well presented and had all that we needed. A car is essential.but close to Garachico, and a preferred side of the island if you prefer a quieter time. Plenty of places to visit nearby. Buenavista Golf Club. Nice walk around the outside. Drago tree at Icod. and Puerto De La Cruz 30 min drive away. Also the busy side of the island is only between 45 mins and an hours drive away."

"The house was perfect for our six week holiday. We loved the location but be advised that it’s about a mile from town. There’s a bus stop very close but we chose to walk. It’s located very near a butcher shop that has excellent meat and near a small grocery store that has many things. We loved the outdoor space, took advantage of the kitchen most every evening and slept well in the comfortable bed. It was quiet and peaceful and the bird songs were beautiful to listen to. "Staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was lovely and the view amazing. We loved the rooftop. There was not enough space on the car park. We also made a remark to the reception about the lack of staff at lunch time: 2 staff for up to 35/40 clients on the rooftop. The staff was still lovely and doing their best but had to run from table to table. We felt sorry for them. In the evening, however, there was too many for very few customers. We saw the following day that the hotel listened to our feedback as there was more staff for lunch. "
