"New River Overlook was perfect in every way! The house was clean and comfortable! It had all the amenities we were looking for in a rental. The location was amazing! It was far enough into the mountains to have amazing views, yet close enough to West Jefferson to have access to shopping and restaurants! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay this past week! "

"The last 4 times we’ve visited this hotel, the pool has not been in working order. This is a big disappointment for our 4 year old. However this is still the best option in West Jefferson, pool availability notwithstanding "

"Enjoyed a short weekend getaway here. Not far from town and very quiet. Fully equipped with necessities and very clean. We’d definitely go back again. "

"Place is very outdated. It was not clean at all. There was a bucket on the porch with dirty towels that had about 20 dead flies in it. Something sticky all over bathroom floor and furniture. No dish towels. Washer didn’t work. Gas logs eventually came on but smelled so bad we had to turn them off. One of the ceiling fans makes such a noise it can’t be used. Bathroom rug hadn’t been cleaned in forever. They are building small cabins and campsites right beside it so we had to listen to them work all weekend on the cabins. Porch table is rotting. Right on a highway with a very short driveway. The list goes on - I have contacted the host with photos and videos and am still waiting on a decision about a refund a week later. Very disappointed. "

"Cute little cottage - easy to get to and very well maintained. It was clean and comfortable and you can tell the host put a lot of heart into the spaces. Loved the fireplace and the hot tub! "
