Sandman Signature Dartmouth Hotel & Suites

"Great location! We’ve stayed at Sandman’s multiple times so had high expectations as this location isn’t quite two years old yet. Things were good but not as high a standard as we’ve experienced. The hallways had the same bits of paper and debris along them all three days we were there making the walk to your room not feel quite as up scale as you’d think for the cost. There were also lots of youth teams present on the Saturday night. Totally expected but walking back into the lobby after a lively evening out to have to dodge and weave around a group of youth allowed to run loose playing mini sticks and shouting isn’t the best impression. There was even a dad sitting in the corner “supervising”, hmmm. We expected the noise in hallways until a certain hour but the running up and down the staircases at the ends of the halls and having to be careful to not get bumped or tripped by a ball arriving at the hotel were disappointing. Our room was super clean and the housekeeping staff were friendly when we said hello in the mornings. Lots of parking too! Location by a Tim’s and A&W were a bonus!"

"The room was very clean, sheets fresh, bathroom tidy. The lady at the front desk was very friendly, so were the cleaners and the lady at the restaurant who served my meal. I ordered room service and it was delicious. I ordered the fish and chips. The hotel was definitely busy, but you could tell the guests really felt comfortable there. Me and my company felt welcomed and we knew we were at a clean, well taken care of establishment. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to feel comfortable, get their money's worth, and feel at home. There are great amenities included with your stay, and you definitely get your money worth. There is parking as well. I believe breakfast is included"

"Hosts, Sam and Kaz, were most pleasant, kind, and hospitable, from start to finish, from arranging delicious vegan breakfasts, providing helpful directions to local sites and shops, to explaining rules of the B and B in very clear and thorough detail, to joining in conversation and making me feel at home. B and B about 25 minutes away from Halifax and 1 hour and 20 minutes from Peggy's Cove, for reference. Sits across from Williams Lake, where on their deck a beautiful sunset can be seen. A deck and hiking trail can also be accessed behind and above the house. House was overall very tidy, welcoming, and generally quiet. I stayed in the Sepia room, a spacious room with bunk beds. Came with a jacuzzi tub, which was a treat!"
