"Staff wasn’t friendly at all. I was very shocked that we didn’t get greeted one time for the 4 nights that we stayed there. The room needs to be updated. Cleanliness was okay, because of the walls looked filthy. The beds were comfortable. It was okay for my kids and their friends for a quick spring break trip. "

"Well the representation on Hotels.com was terrible. the place is on its last leg. Way over priced for what it was. NO POOL, no staff after 10pm or before 930am, no continental breakfast. This place was a disaster, people camping in vans in parking lot. Should have gone done the road but was too tired and was only staying one night. Decided to just deal with it. "

"We had a nice stay. The rental was clean and equipped like an extended stay hotel. The kitchen had a good assortment of dishes,pots,pans, etc. The laundry was a godsend for beach towels and swim wear. The things that were less ideal. There was nothing ‘extra’ you sometimes get used to besides a spice rack, some coffee packets, tea bags and sugar packs. The carpet seemed in need of replacement or deep cleaning but did not give an odor. The porch ‘twin’ bed is very short but otherwise comfortable. Avast management was very handy and responsive. They needed to be because there was no written procedure or instruction to reference. What was most unexpected was that when it says no beach chairs or umbrellas are provided at the private beach what it really means is that they are but you and others in La Mar 2 are not entitled to use them. It created a dynamic I wasn’t prepared for honestly. My issue was that this was not well explained ahead. We had to figure it out as we went. "

"Beautiful home on a quiet stretch of white sand beach with absolutely amazing views. The house was incredibly clean which is very important to us since our kids have severe food allergies. Likewise the kitchen and fridge was spotless which is even more important since we cook all of our meals. The location is perfect as well. The beach is your back yard so very easy to spend the day going back and forth to the beach. Lastly, the staff is very responsive. I sent several texts with questions and received responses immediately during business hours. Check in and checkout was super easy too. They even had our home ready much earlier than the 5:00 check-in which was a huge help."

"Easy check in and great communication with the host! Kitchen was fully equipped. They had paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher tabs, hand soap, bar soap and some toilet paper available which was greatly appreciated! Plenty of beach & pool toys. Super close to the beach! Easy walk for families with little children. The pool was enjoyable. The grounds were kept very nice! There’s a small coffee place right next door. Walking distance to The Crab Trap Restaurant and Captain Dave’s. We will definitely stay again! "

"This house was perfect for our stay in Destin. There was plenty of room for the 4 of us. The golf cart was a huge hit. Great way to get back and forth to the beach which by the way was 5 min away. The kitchen was fully equipped. Plenty of towels. Safe gated commuinity. The WiFi did go off and on occasionally but not a big issue. Being located in the middle of the island we were close to everything. Everything worked beautifully. We would certainly return. "
