"Staff on reception and housekeeping were great. They were able to get us early check in, offered to help with bags etc to the room. It was a busy day/evening as we were there for a wedding, however most of the time just one person serving at the bar and not friendly. We had 2 rooms, one was a little tired/needed updating. The second was better. On a hot sunny day both rooms were very very hot! I was on second floor/dorma style rooms and the corridor had a damp/foisty smell. Plenty of parking. Grounds of hotel are lovely."

"Parking on site was an added bonus- although to qualify for the 24-hour hotel £20 guest rate you need to go into reception. I spent 10 minutes trying to pay parking online and via the app, before going in. Then it was simple. Room was clean and very functional. Only confusion was the lighting. Managed to switch it all off at night but couldnt get any response from the electric keypads in the morning. Used my phonelight in bathroom. Breakfast very good value for £10! No bacon seemed to be a choice made by the hotel though. Exceptionally good value stay for London and so close to the Tube. Will use it again"

"This is a tough one. We stayed in the middle of the recent heatwave and the room was 32°C upon our arrival. Whilst the heatwave is not something the hotel staff can control, more could have been done to cool the room down, and leaving the heated towel rail on pumping out heat was very much unnecessary. A single fan in the room did nothing and it really feels like an establishment like this needs to invest in portable air conditioners."

"I purposely booked the room with air conditioning as travelling on a hot day 26/27 May. On the hottest day in the UK, the air con at the hotel was faulty. I heard the staff say there was a maintenance happening on site. Well, stuck in a room, where the entire floor has no cool air conditioning, you guess how unpleasant that was. Room 264, the air-con control unit was faulty. It turned itself off every 20 minutes after manually restarting. Got changed to room 261, where the control unit worked but there were no cool air, just air circulation. Sleep was not happening…"
