"Convenient location - close to attractions and T1 tram - 3 minutes walk from 2 supermarkets (kimi and sok markers) - close to multiple dining options Room was clean and is relatively modern. Bedding was very comfortable. Included amenities leave a bit to be desired, wish there was a range of showering products available. Service was great, very hospitable. I was able to leave my luggage at the hotel for a few hours on the day I checked out. Would recommend, great value and comfort option!"

"As previous reviewers have said, the hotel is very well located, and only a few minutes walk from the Grand Bazaar and (more importantly) the T1 tram route which gives you fast and inexpensive access to the whole of central Istanbul. The street itself is not smart, but appears safe. The hotel is very different from the usual international offering, but in a good way. It is decorated in the Turkish style with ornate painted ceilings and has a slightly old-fashioned feel to it which only adds to its charm. It is in fact two buildings which have been knocked together - the rooms to the right are the junior suites and have their own lift and stairs and are somewhat quieter as there are only 8 rooms that side. The rooms at the back were quieter although had no view. Breakfast was great - served on the roof terrace which a large choice of quality freshly-prepared food which was kept fully replenished until service finished at 1030. The reception team were always available and always helpful with advice, such as how to use the tram! One piece of advice - do not bother with an organised Bosphorus boat trip, but just use the ferries to cross and recross this wonderful seaway using your Istanbulkart. Your will have a much better experience and save yourself a lot of money!"

"Great stay nice and helpful staff. Near the major sights and public transport all within walking distance. Only down side is it’s in the touristy part of the area of Sultanamet so watch out for people trying to sell you overpriced food or goods. Overall I’d go here again the rooms are spacious and go with the style of the old city some of its a bit dated but, that’s an easy fix with a few new curtains and bed sheets. Breakfast had a decent variety but, don’t expect anything like resorts where you will be spoilt for choice."

"We loved our stay at Ada Hotel and would definitely go back again. The location of the hotel is excellent, close to the historic city centre with only a short part of the walk uphill. The view is amazing from either the breakfast room or one of the rooms with a sea view - over a mosque and looking out at the Sea of Marmara with the ships there. We also really liked the hot tub in our room, very pleasant after a long day of walking with lots of hills. The Turkish style breakfast was also excellent. I just wish it had started earlier that 8 am, but there was enough time to eat and get out to the sites when they opened (the start of the morning is quieter for visiting almost everywhere). No stay is perfect, so for full disclosure I will note that the calls to prayer from the mosque beside the hotel can be very loud and one is in the middle of the night (we did sleep through it with earplugs). Also there were some ants that appeared in the room a day or two into our stay. I don't know how common this is in Istanbul. Overall, I would recommend it, and I'd go back. It's worth paying for one of rooms with a sea view."
