"The room and facilities were clean, my only complaint would be the area itself, out of control of the hotel. There was someone sleeping on the sidewalk in front of the hotel when we arrived and there really isn’t much to offer in the area. We only stopped for the night to catch the ferry the next day and thought that there would be more to see. "

"We enjoyed our check in process and the gracious welcome from Leticia. She is a wonderful resource. The home is lovely and in a beautiful location. The pool was too cool to use much. The solar system wasn’t heating it all that well. The house had everything we needed and some really nice touches. Some basic things like shampoo and soap were not there so bring your own. This is a great base to explore the beautiful mountain towns, Poas Volcano, La Paz Waterfall Gardens, El Toledo Coffee Tour and the cute town of Zarcero. "

"Wonderful lodge! Liked it so much we rearranged our itinerary to come back for another night. Super quiet & scenic. Really enjoyed the pool, deck, restaurant, and seeing birds, monkeys and iguanas. Arrived too late for pizza the first night, but stayed to have it for lunch and it truly was delicious. However, learned later that Costa Rica’s ban on feeding wildlife extends to private property and bird feeders, so it would better not to feed the birds at all, or at least farther from the deck so macaws don’t swoop in for human breakfast food. "

"I knew this place wasn't going to be great but I didn't expect it to be this bad. I was traveling with my three daughters and the door to our ground floor unit wouldn't properly lock. The inside has moldy ceilings, broken things in the kitchen, filthy bathroom, the knob to the hot water in the shower was completely gone. The AC couldn't keep up so we were sweating all night. Then in the middle of the night the loudest DJ/pool music came on to wake us up. It happened three times between 2-4 am even after I repeatedly asked the front desk to solve the issue. When we got there they said the pool was closed (at 5pm?) but someone was loudly swimming later for over an hour. It was a quick night stopover on our road trip but we left miserable and tired and uncomfortable. We are pretty flexible travelers and stay in cheap places regularly but this was awful. "
