This was an excellent place to stay while visiting Estes Park. It was a 15 minute drive to town. I especially enjoyed the easy hike 5minutes away around the lake. The staff was very nice and helpful. The mountain views from the deck were amazing. I would definitely stay here again.

The location was a very nice mountain experience, with views of Longs Peak. The altitude, at 9200 feet, was a little problem for me, but it was very quiet and peaceful. The grounds are beautiful, although the service roads need some maintenance, with many large potholes. But I would stay there again.

Beautiful quaint resort! Staff was great! I didn’t have time to enjoy any of the amenities, but I’d definitely stay again and hopefully get to try the multiple amenities, including the oxygen bar! My room was good, bed was comfy, and BEAUTIFUL views!

I would definitely come back because it’s close to the hiking spots we were visiting, and they have hiking trails right from the property too. It’s super cozy. The staff is phenomenal. It’s clean. They offer oxygen services and massages, among other activities.

Great hospitality and clean rooms, but weak Wi-Fi The staff at this hotel are wonderful, friendly, and highly cooperative. Even though we checked in late around 7:30 PM just as the front desk was closing up, the agent was incredibly patient and fully explained all the facilities to us. Our room was clean, non-smoking, and very comfortable. My only complaint is the connectivity. There is absolutely no mobile data network reception here. The property does offer Wi-Fi, but it was not strong or reliable enough during our stay. If the Wi-Fi had worked well, I would have given this property a perfect 5/5 rating. Still a very nice place to stay if you do not mind being offline.

We were visiting our daughter who was working at a camp down the road, and landed at the Dao House. We stayed in the lodge, which was beautiful. Our room had a door to a shared balcony and hummingbirds were everywhere. We had 2 queen beds for my family, and the room arrangement worked really well for the four of us (2 teens). Everything was very clean and the staff was beyond helpful. We went horseback riding at Elkhorn stables on the property, which made for a great afternoon. My hubby and kids enjoyed tennis and basketball on site, and we took advantage of the books and games down the hall. Although they don't really offer breakfast, we were pleasantly surprised to find they had muffins along with the tea and coffee. We had stopped by Safeway in Estes Park for milk, cereal, oatmeal, etc. We were able to keep perishables in the community mini fridge and heat what we needed in the microwave. Some of the cabins looked like they could use a fresh coat of paint, but the property was beautiful and relaxing and a wonderful get away. We would stay there again.

The room was very clean and the staff was friendly. However, the parking area was pretty chewed up and if they put on the website that there was no TV we didn’t see it. The Wi-Fi did not support streaming and cut in and out. We OKgot no housekeeping on our two days stay. We also had a balcony, but the lock would not open. We also did not pursue this so part of that’s on us. On the upside, the bed was clean and comfortable & the bathroom was small, but lovely. Reasonably accessible to Rocky Mountain national Park.

The view of Longs Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park is spectacular! The lodge is old and gorgeous! No frills but very comfy. The staff were so nice and helpful! Having horseback riding right there is ultra convenient. We will stay there again!

THE BEST view of Longs Peak, and Twin Sisters right on the other side. Historical lodge with trails all around it- there was even a humble breakfast in the lobby. Peaceful and so close to estes park. Recommend.
