I always love coming here! We do it annually, if not more as we live in Colorado. I’ve NEVER had a BAD experience so please don’t read this in that way. Only warning I have is don’t sleep in room 402. It’s right by glass doors that slam all night with people going through them and it’s attached to a main hallway. Other than that - it’s always a pleasure!

The Stanley is an iconic place. We didn’t have a tv remote for the tv. They did bring one after calling 3 times. The guy on our night tour gave great historic information, but didn’t seem happy to be giving the tour. A little enthusiasm would have been appreciated. The Stanley property is beautiful with the mountain backdrop.
Staying at The Stanley is always a great time! It is such a beautiful hotel, the staff is always very welcoming and we’ve always been grateful to be able to bring our dog! We stayed in The Lodge this trip and were surprised to find there wasn’t a mini fridge or a microwave despite having an enormous closet that would’ve easily fit these items. Of course we found out later that we could have gotten a fridge if we had just asked- but we hate to be a bother. For the price of the room, these amenities are just kind of expected these days. Oh well! We love The Stanley no matter what! Thanks for being such a cool place to stay!

Property and history is neat, but our room was dirty. The bathroom was in the worst shape and the furniture in the room was chipped and the carpet didn’t look like it had been vacuumed.
The property was poorly soundproofed and the external doors poorly fitted which required shutting with force which was not pleasant when you are close to the exits. In addition, tours of the hotel we're being run during the day time resulting in a very noisy environment and little opportunity to have quiet time in a room during the day. There was also very noisy guests during the night between 11:00pm and 2:30am which disrupted the slepp of myself and a number of other guests on the floor.

The lobby is awesome. It was nice to sit by fireplace
The hotel itself is gorgeous, but certainly be prepared for little quirks that come with staying in a historic hotel. The beds were extremely comfortable (wasn't sure what to expect there) but the shower is a little weak/not that warm, the heat is not controlled separately in each room so it can get really hot (luckily the windows still open), and you can hear everything through the walls. It's absolutely worth staying there once, but I don't know if I'd go back again and again, it's fairly pricey for the overall comfort.
Very nice stay—-the staff was excellent and the pol and spa and oh the sunna my grandchildren were very impressed Ages 13-11-8 super children great stay r

I did not like how dirty the property was and the lack of housekeeping.
Beautiful property, we didn’t realize we bought a room in the Residences but they were gorgeous and roomy and just a walk down from the actual Stanley.

Beautiful attraction
Room had multiple things in need of repair and hot water was warm, but not hot. Public areas in good condition. Felt hotel is more interested in being an attraction than a quality hotel for their guests.

Room was very cold. Heat malfunction ironing board present but no iron.
The historic value and location were amazing. Unfortunately the staff was badly trained and unprofessional and the room and hotel were dirty and uncomfortable.
Very beautiful property, friendly and helpful staff, the location and history is amazing.
We had dogs down the hall that barked most of the three days and nights we stayed. Another larger dog above us that very much enjoyed jumping on and off the bed whenever it was in the room. I understand that it might have been out of your control but when we asked at the front desk to help us out we were told there was nothing they could do. I'm sorry, there's always something they could do. They didnt even say they would talk with the dog guests. We love staying at the Stanley and will be back but we came up for relaxation and went home exhausted.
Our room wasn’t ready until 2 hours after the 4pm check in time.

The temperature control light in the bedroom woke me up and was going on and off from 3am until 5ish. Something looks like it bit my finger. And a picture of my husband in the room had yellow striped wall paper on 1/2 the wall that wasn’t really there! The bedding was bleach fresh and the bed was comfortable. I wasn’t crazy about the mold?rust? In the grout of the tub.

I was given a room between the elevator and stairs. So it wasn’t a relaxing room. The day after Christmas the room was not refreshed. The whole experience with the Stanley hotel was a disappointment.

The property was nice and the main building was nice.
The main lobby was grand and the main lobby of The Lodge was nice.
Originally we had reservations for the main hotel but contacted before our trip concerning water damage in the rooms and moved to The Lodge. We had NO housekeeping for our 4 day stay. We had to empty our trash into the lobby restroom trash. Same towels all 4 days, no beds made. Room not cleaned even after two reports to main front desk. Chrysallis Gift Shop staff rude. NO security in The Lodge.
Strangers wondering the halls. Very disappointing and this was our Christmas Vacation!

It's always beautiful up in the Estes and the Stanley has history like few other hotels.
Unfortunately, we were assigned a room with no internet service. We asked to be moved to one that did since I was going to work a little from my laptop. We were moved to another room that was barely the size of a walk-in closet. It did have internet, but no desk to work from and 18 inched of clearance on each side of a queen-sized bed. The the clock in the tower rand every 1/2 hour...er, :21 and :51 of the hour.
The lobby, usually decorated nicely for Christmas, had a lighted tree and that was it. We left early (1 of 2 nights booked) and cancelled our reservation at the restaurant for the second evening.
We won't be going back.
The heat in my room never went beyond 63 degrees on a night that was below zero and even having a staff reset the temperature didn't help. There was no hot water for a shower, the bathroom was disgusting as tiles were broken and it was dirty. There was droplets of blood underneath the sink. The front desk was less than helpful and wanted to move me to their other building which was not convenient for me because my sister and 84 year old mother were in the next room. They did not send maintenance to fix the hot water so I had to use the shower in my sister's room. The restaurant was also freezing. Save your money and go to another hotel that has hot/cold running water and heat!
