Very close to two major towns (Pau and Bayonne) as well as multiple charming villages, it makes for an ideal location for exploring the foothills of Pyrénées. The owners, Shona and Ken, are very friendly and accommodating people, truly interested in the comfort of their guests. We strongly recommend the gîte, and hope to return there again soon."

"The house and grounds so beautifully curated and maintained by the owner Thierry is an absolute joy to stay in. Wildlife abounds - deer appearing in the field, butterflies, birds of prey, geckos and the star of the show the midwife toad whose sonar like call will astonish! Monein is good for provisions but you may need to travel further afield for more entertainment. "The apartment was beautiful—exactly like the pictures shown. The whole apartment is modern with very nice kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen has everything you’ll need for cooking—pots and pans, dishes, utensils, etc. Our hosts, John Luc and Cathie were wonderful. They live on the property in a separate house but give you all the privacy you need. If we had a problem on how to work something, JL would respond immediately and come help us. We told him we’re interested in checking out the Pau area...
