"We enjoyed all the amenities of the home. Swam in the pool end of day, ate BBQ’s on the deck and enjoyed watching the geese and ducks in the morning and evening. Beautiful property, tranquil and well maintained. We even collected some fresh eggs. "Had a wonderful week at Casa Alfarroba!Hosts were a delight to deal with......Booking process so quick & efficient, with any questions dealt with speedily. Also provided with lots of information about surrounding area / restaurants etc. Our request to have an earlier check in was accommodated no problem, as there was no changeover prior to our arrival. This was greatly appreciated, as we arrived early morning. We were greeted by the lovely Marina on our arrival, who showed us around & advised she was available to contact throughout our stay, if needed.The villa itself is gorgeous! Spacious, clean, & the kitchen is fabulous! Everything high spec, & everything you could think of was provided. The pool was amazing, with fabulous views over the countryside.The location is perfect- Only 20 mins drive from airport, & easy to follow instructions were provided of how to find.Supermarkets literally 5 mins drive away. The villa's setting is rural, up on the hill looking down at Faro. We like a quiet relaxing holiday "away from it all" & this is certainly what we got! We found it difficult to tear ourselves away from the villa during the week, but we did on a few occasions to sample a couple of nearby traditional Portuguese restaurants. This is by far the best villa we have stayed in over many years holidaying in Portugal! Thankyou for sharing your beautiful home & we would love to return again!"

"We have nothing but positives to say about the property. If you are looking for somewhere away from it all, yet close enough to the sea and resorts, this is the place for you. You will need a car though.The pool is clean, cool and a welcome relief from the summer heat.We had a couple of issues during our 2 week stay, but Angie was always immediately on hand and got them resovled in no time.Yes there are wasps, mosquitos, ants and all sorts of other insects aplenty, but when visiting rural Portugal, it's to be expected.We would recommend visiting some of the islands of the Ria Formosa. We got the ferry from Olhao to Culatra and to Armona. Absolutely stunning beaches with beatiful white sand, Turquoise crystal clear water and fish everywhere.We also went dolphin spotting with Pudim Real Boat Tours from Faro, and woudl recommed."
