"The place is brand new. Great staff and convenient parking. If you're looking for a no frills place to stay that is clean, safe and close to Chicago, this is it. Oak Park is an ok town (kinda stuffy) but there are some good restaurants. I highly recommend the Hemingway Bistro. "

"The room and property were fine but the carpet and furniture were a bit dated. The heat was a radiator so it was tough to control for sleeping. "

"The staff was nice and available as advertised but the entire place does not have nearly enough good qualities to make up for the fact that the rooms are disgusting. It seemed fine enough on the surface until we checked the floors and mattress. The floors weren't even swept and the mattress itself looked like it was borrowed from a dumpster behind a brothel- stained and smelly. There were also clusters of black dots in all corners of the mattress just under the sheets which looked like bed bugs or signs of bed bugs to the point where we just checked out and did not sleep there. Granted, after leaving we didn't have any issues with any bed bugs, so I don't think that was the case but the fact that it even looked like that was enough to give us paranoia about it for days."

"The rental was great! The place was exactly as it is listed. Overall, the cleanliness was great, other than ONE coffee cup that needed to be cleaned prior to using it.Parking was good. You get one guaranteed spot, but if you need more, there are some other parking spots available; you just need to get them while they're open (if you need more than one space).Communication with the host was very easy, and he offered solutions to the issue we had with the TV not working correctly. The issue was not solved, but we also were not there much to watch the TV, but it would've been nice to have in a couple of situations.The location is right next to Midway Airport, so there is plane noise, but it was not too much for us to be able to sleep.Mackson's place was great for the price and exceeded expectations! If I'm back in town again, I would certainly consider this place again!"
