I just wish we would have known that the check in and lodge are 6 blocks away. I thought that was inconvenient for ice, pool towel. I saw later on the confirmation that was noted, but I feel it should be at the top of the confirmation and maybe in bold print. The price was right, the beds we comfortable, I loved the porch. Grocery store and pizza place just around the corner.

I was pleasantly surprised to find the property outstanding! I had read several older bad reviews and had me concerned. But the property was fantastic. The bed was very comfortable. The rooms looked newly remodeled and were very clean. I had a really good stay. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars was there were a few small black ants creeping around the floor in the bathroom as well as the main area by the bed. Also, I guess it's not really the hotel's fault, but I was in a room with an adjoining door to another room and I could hear their TV clear as a bell. More soundproofing between rooms woulda been nice. But overall I would totally recommend this place!

This was fine for one night while traveling. It was decent enough place for a good night’s rest, and we weren’t expecting anything more. We were on our way from Tampa to Key Largo and wanted to experience the Everglades, and this town didn’t disappoint. A couple really good restaurants in this town and we took a fantastic airboat ride.
