"We loved this hotel!!! My mother and I took a long overdue vacation to Scotland and this hotel came up as being close to Edinburgh. It is on a bus line (the X7) to downtown Edinburgh and the stop is literally across the street from the hotel! Convenient if you have luggage. The bus ride is about 40 minutes to Edinburgh so easy if you want to head there. I’d recommend exploring the East Linton area though. It’s a beautiful area with walking paths and restaurants. "My wife and I spent a very pleasant week at Cygnet Cottage, using it as a base to explore the Northumberland Coast and local area.This particular accommodation is ideal for a couple. The living area is well furnished and comfortable. The kitchen equipment all worked fine and there was an adequate supply of crockery, cutlery, and tools. The bathroom was small but perfectly usable with a decent, electric, shower. Upstairs was the bedroom with good storage facilities and a comfortable double bed...

"Staff very friendly, room 4 was perfect, spotless and recently refurbished bathroom. 24 hr parking at railway station for £3.70 so car was securely parked yet heard no noise from station in our room. Pool table and darts in separate bar area meant quieter lounge with various games available. Would definitely stay again. "
