"The room was lovely and included a fridge, maybe a bottle of water and snack pack of biscuits would be a nice addition. All the staff we spoke to were accommodating and friendly. Ideally located for shops, attractions and York Barbican. Unfortunately the cooked breakfast let it down, hash browns were soggy as were the sausage (no crisp whatsoever) bacon was dry and tough and what should have been the crispy fat was again soggy, only scrambled eggs available, even the fresh toast was not at all crisp. This is possibly one of the worst cooked breakfast I have had but there were plenty of other options to choose from."

"Nice room but must have had smokers in it previously before us because it stunk of smoke 🚬 which was a shame because the room was nice! But the smokey smell was very unpleasant. Apart from that no other problems at all. Me and my husband are none smokers so this was an issue for us unfortunately. Staff at reception absolutely lovely and welcoming can’t fault the staff. Location was superb close to everything we needed. "
