    This gorgeous apartment is on the second floor of a striking historic palazzo. It was entirely renovated just a few months ago, it preserves original features such as the 19th century “cassettoni” ceilings and the original moldings, and has been decorated with hand-picked antique furniture. With breathtaking high ceilings and a stately aristocratic feel, it combines top-class modern amenities with a soothing and refined old-world ambiance. The apartment is set up as follows:

Fabulous stay with the family, Florence is beautiful and Santo Spirito Palace had the authentic feel for such a lovely city. Well worth the trip and would definitely recommend for a long weekend away.

This was a great place to stay, above the square. Apartment was clean. Plenty of room. Nice decor. Venders on the daily in the square. Excellent restaurants just downstairs.

The location was convenient as we walked to attractions on both sides of the river. The unit was in good shape but it is not modern. It is a third floor walk up, so keep that in mind. The piazza has a restaurant/bar which is open until like 2:00. People in the front bedroom were aware of closing time; otherwise the place was quiet. A/c worked well in 90 degree weather.One disturbing thing. Two of our group discovered that our “hidden” Euros disappeared. We did not discuss the issue for several days when we had a “it was weird but” and a “you too” moment. We took it as a learning experience to redouble our security efforts. Otherwise, we had a great stay in Florence.

Beautiful Tuscany style appt

Spacious and beautiful appt in great Florence location. Piazza Spirito Santo is charming and fun. Easy walk to all Florence sites.Appt well distributed for large families and groups.Would return anytime.

This is a beautiful, charming, clean and well-equipped apartment in a wonderful location on the Santo Spirito Piazza - close to the Pitti Palace and a short walk across a bridge to the Duomo and Uffizzi Gallery. The piazza which has restaurants, a daily market and the amazing 15th c. Basilica of Santo Spirito. We would definitely stay here again. Many thanks to Martina for all of her assistance!

Great experience in Florence

This was a perfect location for a Florence vacation. We could walk everywhere and anything we needed was around the corner. Three bedrooms and three baths made it perfect for the three couples I was there with.

Santo Spirito Palace Is in a great location, right on the Piazza Santo Spirito. It is a lively area with a historic church with many great restaurants and some kind of market every day. It is close to many attractions and we walked everywhere except for the train station and airport. The place itself is a bit funky, but something you can overlook because of the reasonable price. There are 3 full bathrooms, but only one is connected to a bedroom and AC is only in the bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms had sheer drapes, so you will need an eye mask if morning light wakes you up. Two of the beds were very comfortable, but the twin room with the bathroom could use new mattresses. You can feel the springs when lying down. When we showed up an hour after the check-in time the cleaning person was still there. We had to wait in one room for about an hour while she finished. Not the end of the world, but you think it would have been ready by check-in time. Despite those few minor things, we did enjoy our stay. Communication with the host was great, there was a lot of helpful literature about the area, and they offer help with reservations and tours.

Gorgeous Flat

The flat was incredibly gorgeous and spacious. The details of every room takes you back in time. It was perfectly located in San Espirrito Piazza near fantastic restaurants and cafe. At night time, there is live music where you can enjoy a drink while listening to music. It is walking distance to the city center as well. A must consider stay when visiting Florence.

Location, location, location! This apt is in the Piazza Santo Spiritu…soooo beautiful. Wonderful restaurants in the plaza, an outside market every day we were there. Live musicians play in the plaza every day. Easy walk to downtown Florence and all the tourist sites! The bedrooms are large and filled with beautiful art and antique furniture. I will definitely stay there the next time I go to Florence! Communication was excellent when we had a few questions. Definitely recommend this VRBO!!!

Phenomenal location for family of 4 with 1 teen son and 1 college-age son. Located on a piazza with coffee bars and pastries for breakfast , paninis for lunch, Aperativo options, and a variety of dinner options (trattorias, Osterias, and Ristorantes) with tons of amazing outdoor seating. The food was extremely good at every place that we tried. During the day there are sometimes vendors setting up shop with a variety of different things to purchase, which was really fun. Also on the piazza is the Basilica of Santo Spirito which contains a breathtaking Michelangelo - a wooden crucifix that looks like a huge sculpture, that he made at age 18 (2 euros per person for entry). Also in the Basilica is a breathtaking courtyard with tons of trees and plants. The apt has amazing huge bedrooms with AC, comfortable beds, clean and modern bathrooms, small but functional kitchen for making small meals. Walking distance to a grocery store and to many tourist locations including the Duomo, Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio, and a car rental company if you want to drive out into Tuscany. The only negative is that there is no living room where everyone can gather. However- for us that was not a problem because we were out the entire day and then went to our bedrooms to relax and recover when we returned home. The other negative would be that the several of the caned chairs in the kitchen were in disrepair and not useable. However we rarely ate in there so it wasn’t a big deal. We will be back!

Excellent location for ease of access to the sites and food of Italy, but the host's communication and attitude was frustrating. The location has an active night life, but the windows closed and fans insulate the sound from coming in. I share this for families. The host allowed us to store our luggage ahead of check-in, which was appreciated. Additionally I must recommend you try the food at Gustapanino just across the piazza.Be warned, you may struggle to work with the host.We arrived to formally occupy the unit later and the AC was not running, shutters were open all day, and windows were open during extreme heat. It took over 12 hours to bring the apartment from 28C(84C) to 25C(77 F), and when asked about the efficiency of the room only AC units the host responded to me and VRBO Care with , "Maybe the guests should go in Iceland not to feel hot." and "You complain that in Forence is too hot. I'm not God." My issue is not with the AC units, as the temperature inside once cooled was cooler than outside. My issue is with the host advertising it as having AC, not having it prepared for guests, and then insulting them when requesting for assistance. People in my party had a medical need for cooler tempatures, and struggled to comfortably recover/rest while we waited for the bedrooms to cool. We stayed an additional night elsewhere, as planned prior to the stay, and the AC kept at another location kept our rooms at 22C without issue while outside was still 40C.

Great location…. That’s about all this place has to offer.

Initially we thought the place was perfect. 3 bedrooms and 3 baths for 3 couples. Only one room has an attached bathroom and that’s the one with the twin beds. One bathroom is on the opposite side of the flat. The washer will fit about 5 pairs of socks and there is not a clothesline for drying. Two bathrooms had about 1/4 roll of toilet paper and the other didn’t have any…. For 6 people. Lastly, the floors were filthy. I had on brand new white socks that were black after one night of walking around the apartment.Check in was a joke. They told us the 3rd floor, it was the second floor. The location was great. That’s all.

Great Neighborhood!

This was a great place with nice rooms and the location was absolutely perfect. Located just off the path of the city’s hustle and bustle, this neighborhood plaza provides a local feel with a nice cafes, trattorias, and a nightly variety of entertainment and fun, all the while being close to great restaurants and museums. The A/C is only in the bedrooms, which we were thankful for due the unusually hot temps while we were there. We all would definitely stay here again! Ciao!

Looks better than it functions

The location of this apartment is perfect but everything else fell short. We immediately noticed how dusty everything was, which was confirmed after our baby crawled around a bit and was covered in dirt. ALL of the seats (couches, chairs) in the entire apartment are broken and we were scared we’d fall through them. There’s no common space other than a narrow room with a dining room table which forced our group to congregate in bedrooms. There were no paper towels, kitchen towels, the Teflon on the pans were too scratched to safely use. The freezer was broken and one shower was so clogged we stood in 4” of water after one guest used it. We tried to contact the owner who never responded so we fixed it ourselves. Then, more than 24 hours later, a plumber showed up at 8pm while our babies were sleeping to fix it. The woman who checked us in tried to swindle $250 euros from us (twice) with claims the money was for a cleaning fee, a water fee and a city tax, none of which was mentioned in the listing. All in all, we were uncomfortable but the convenience of the location allowed us to easily shuffle babies back and forth. Not worth it in the end.

Beautiful apartment in amazing location

The apartment was full of charm and character, clean, lovely sheets and towels in an amazing square. If you want to Anson yourself in Italian life rather than the tourist route, I highly recommend staying here.

Perfect location!

We loved this charming apartment on the piazza. The noise didn’t bother us at night and it was really fun to have all the friendly cafes steps from our door. Easy walk to everything you need and want to see. Beds and baths were all great. Not much of a living area but that didn’t matter to our group since we were away enjoying the city most of the time. Would definitely recommend!

Good location, easy access to restaurants, cafes.

Nice place, easy to walk to most attractions and sights. Good restaurants near by. I would stay there again.

Location!

I love the location of this property in Piazza Santo Spirito with all the restaurants, the beautiful church, and the vendors every day you can honestly feel the vibe of the beautiful city of Florence.

Fantastic location

We loved the location. Walking distance to everything! But a bit away from all the crowds. But if you are a light sleeper easily annoyed by noise then the joyous sounds of Italian life coming from the piazza at night may not be for you. We loved the market stalls that set up every morning in the piazza and the bars and restaurants.

Beautiful apartment antique furniture great location restaurants right outside door steps. However there are no elevators if you stay on the third floor and have heavy luggages you can be in trouble

I would stay here again.

Fantastic location! Nice apartment. Needs a working coffee pot though. We loved the area and furnishings. The person that was handling the rental was a little hard to get a hold of sometimes. I really had doubts someone would actually be there to meet us, but they did. Cannot say enough about how great this location was. As I'm thinking about it now, it makes me want to go back right now. Piazza Santo Spirito was always busy. We loved it! Beds were comfortable too.
