Great location

If you’re not caught up with an updated property, the value for the location worked for our fam. Visited in March and it was quiet and relaxing. Although dated and well worn, the house was clean and had decent basic amenities, although odd it did not provide beach towels at a beach house.

Quiet Weekend on Beach

Enjoyed the long weekend looking over the beach in a quiet area. It was December, so I did not expect too much of a crowd, of course. Enjoyed the living space and large deck area as much as the cool windy weather allowed.

Great stay at Folly Beach

We really enjoyed our stay at Folly Beach. The house was comfortable, clean and well-equipped. The deck is amazing - so nice to be able to sit out and watch the dolphins. Great location on the beach near Charleston.

Great getaway with friends

We loved this home, and loved being right on the beach! The beds were comfortable and we really enjoyed the back porch, and the nice adorandak chairs while we watched dolphins swim by.

Nice house Great location

Could use a deep clean and updating but overall nice house. Location is fantastic. I could have done with Les steps to ge I to house but I handled it.

Lovely home!

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The home was exactly as advertised, but we found it to be even better. The deck and stairs were very new and had lovely deck furniture and lots of boogie boards and sand toys that were not in the listing. Yes, it is dated on the inside but It was spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. Do bring your own beach towels, but we would stay here again.

Wonderful Place

Had a great time. this house is right on the water with beautiful views. We loved Folly Beach and the town itself. Everything was clean and worked for our stay. We will definitely be coming back to stay.

Right on the ocean

I've stayed at folly Beach several times and this was my favorite location by far! Classic Folly houses are simple bungalows.... this house is one of the best in its class. Spacious, clean, away from the clutter of downtown. Huge windows. When the tide is high it looks like you're in a boat. We hardly left the house it was so nice. Proximity to the quiet beach is top feature. Basic supplies as advertised. I'll choose this house again for sure!!

Book It!

I never leave reviews, but this one is worth the time to do so. The house is as advertised. It is a little dated, but it has plenty of space and bedding for eight people and views that are hard to beat. The deck is spacious and has nice seating. The beach is your backyard, and there are some boards and beach toys if you have kids. The best part was how private it seemed. We saw a few people walking through, but for the most part, we had a large area to ourselves. The only suggestion I would make is to add lighting for the stairs leading to the driveway, and maybe those leading to the beach. It gets a little difficult to navigate them at night. All in all, this house is reasonably priced for such a beautiful location, and we would stay here again.

Great House that needs attention

Fabulous deck; Tremendous views; interior need a lot of attention: window seals are broken; possible leaks visible on ceilings, dampness under kitchen sink; ripped sofa cushions; unattractive covering over fire place place; needs better doors and lock; more dish towel. And yet we loved the place and plan to come back. It would be an even greater experience if it got the attention it deserves.

Wonderful time

What a wonderful experience with family.. The pics might be a little misleading as to the distance to the sandy beach and the water… It was really close, my mailbox is farther away. At high tide, the bottom steps of the walkway was in the water.. At low tide, there was a wonderful playground of sand.. we played with a soccer ball and tossed around a frisbee without getting wet.. The house was very roomy and clean. Had all the amenities of home… Can’t wait to go back…

Spacious house in great location

The house is spacious and comfortable. A bit of wear and tear over all but the beds were comfortable and the kitchen appliance were in good working order, some very new. You can't beat the view of the beach in a quiet neighborhood.

Needs updating

Location was absolutely perfect! We seen dolphins every morning we were there. Not a busy location. But the house needs updating and locks need fixing. The door would not lock from the inside so we couldn’t lock at night which was worrisome as we have a special needs child who wanders. Patio doors need attention as well. Will definitely be coming back though, as the location was perfect and beautiful.

Gorgeous home with the best view

Gorgeous view with all the benefits of being right on the ocean. The property is spacious and comfortable but needs to be better managed. All the the reviews are accurate and the property manager has not addressed any of them including the mice, the cobwebs, other housekeeping issues, burned out lights, etc. The direct tv went out day one of our stay and Vacassa was unresponsive to our request for service. If you can overlook some of the gripes this is a nice home.

can't go wrong with oceanfront

the previous reviews were right, the property was old, furniture old and falling apart, but the view the ocean and the waves made up for it. The master bedroom bed was rough it was so deformed and lumpy and the pillows were flat as pancakes and there were some missing top sheets on some of the beds, just a bottom sheet and a comforter so consider brining your own pillows and sheets.

exactly what we were looking for!

This was our first time staying at a beach front home and we are ruined for all future vacations! It felt like we were on our own private beach. The home was clean & well decorated. Fully stocked kitchen with everything we needed for cooking in. We absolutely enjoyed our stay & look forward to returning soon!

Great location, nice house.

The location is PERFECT. The house is great, comes with everything you need. We spent the week of Thanksgiving at the house and loved it. The main things you want to be clean are very clean: kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms. The rest of the house could use a deep cleaning, though (hidden corners, in between the couch cushions, etc). Overall we were very happy and would stay there again.

Great location, great for families!

Lovely house in a great location, just past the Washout, and away from the hustle and crowds of downtown Folly. Beautiful ocean views from the front of the house, and green marsh views from the back. Close enough to the Morris Island light to walk there for peaceful a vista. Closed 2-car garage is large enough for your cars and water toys (kayak/surf/paddle boards). Kitchen is equipped well enough for making meals and dining in. Books, puzzles, and games are provided for when you need to get out of the surf and sun. All in all, perfect for our family's COVID staycation!!!
