This was truly an authentic overnight stay in a castle built in the early 1500's. The castle was amazing by itself, but our room, Henry VIII, was an experience by itself! It was exactly what we had hoped for and more than we expected. The bedding and towels were outstanding as was the comfort of the bed. The shower was also great plus there was a jacuzzi tub. We could not determine how to turn on the heated towel rack, and we had issues with turning on the fireplace (so did the gentleman...

Booked this last minute - staff was very genuine and helpful. Linens smelled really good.

We stayed for two nights at Newent Golf Club & Lodges to attend a wedding at the nearby church of St. John the Evangelist in Pauntley, Gloucestershire. Our room was clean and comfortable and good value for money. Maggie Brown, the person in charge was very helpful and sent a detailed E-mail before the visit on the best way to find the gold course and recommendations on local restaurants and taxi services etc. Overall we were very pleased with our stay.

Wonderful accommodations in a most beautiful part of our world. The building is very old and this is not perfect. For us it was perfect. An excellent breakfast each morning and dinner and pints in the evening. Plenty to see nearby. We look forward to visiting again.

History, staff was great!

I liked its convenient closeness to the Forest of Dean which is filled with wonderful walks and picnic spots. My personal favorite is the River Severn and its docks with it's many moods and long river-side walks. There is now a cafe and toilets there.

It was a great little find - great single rate - room was basic but fine - lively clubhouse with good menu - sorry didn't have time to play the course -

My dad and I were on holiday driving all over England when we stumbled upon this beautiful inn after a long day of driving and exploring. It was comfortable and welcoming. The dinning lodge was perfect for a couple of pints and a wonderful dinner. As an American when you imagine the UK this place was the perfect example of expectations meets reality. In 10 years for my 50th I plan to take my son and we will absolutely be staying her.

This is a lovely hotel with wonderful staff! They made it a great stay and will really take good care of guests.

Absolutely enjoyed our short stay here at Littledean House Hotel! The rooms were a decent size, beds had comfortable blankets and pillows and the en-suite bathrooms were more than adequate. We were surprised at how much room the kids had to play with their monster trucks 😀! Breakfast was conveniently located at Belfry Inn a short walk away. The view from the garden was lovely.
