Spectacular interior spaces and super friendly owner. The interior is filled with incredible woodwork, especially grand staircase. Our suite was large and comfortable. Books everywhere to read. Great amount of satisfying choices for breakfast. We were pleasantly stuffed afterwards. Close to several restaurants. We were biking the Erie Canal Trail from Syracuse to Amsterdam NY and it was very convenient, close to trail and owner insisted on having our bikes inside. Loved it!!!

Austin was a great host: friendly, outgoing and very knowledgeable! His facility is extremely well maintained and his waffles alone are worth the trip! We'll be back!

Rooms were nice and clean. Beds were comfy

After traveling a long way I was greeted at the desk by a wonderful female staff. She provided me dinner recommendations and reminded me of the complementary beverages in the lobby. The room was very clean and there were plenty of towels. It was a little tricky to find as the road sneaks up on you even with GPS and the room was a little thin but everything else was worth it. I always stay here when I come and visit family in New York. The breakfast options I think have slowly gone down hill :/

Our family stayed in multiple rooms for 2 nights in April during spring break so we could visit the National Baseball Hall of Fame. The hotel was one week new and in a great location. The staff was friendly, helpful and on point. They really did a great job with the guests. The pool is an average size, nice, heated, and there is an outdoor space as well. For anyone who walks daily, there is a nice space around the hotel along the creek. They have a daily continental breakfast that worked out...

Mike was a great host and made a great breakfast. Covid protocols were followed carefully which was important to us. Great stay!

For a basic motel, this was as good as you can get.

The staff were really previous people. The room was beautiful. I really felt like was like a sanctuary from the cares of the world. Everything was so perfect!

Clean, tons of parking, and really friendly people! One note is that the shower is a bit small which was fine for me but if you are a taller or bigger person you could have some trouble.

It was a real treat to stay at the Balsam Inn! The Inn is off the beaten path like I wanted and very very quite. Jenny is a warm welcoming host.
