"The photos on the internet don’t do this place justice. It’s much larger than I thought, and our villa was nicer than expected. The facilities and staff are top notch. The food was a bit mixed, some good, most mediocre, and some not so good. The breakfast buffet was surprisingly underwhelming - it’s very large but it’s mostly just pastries and fruit. There’s very little of anything substantial. It’s basically an insanely expensive continental breakfast. Luckily, it was included with our room rate, but otherwise it would have been $50pp which is outrageous. I wouldn’t even pay $20. All of the food there is ridiculously overpriced, but most can be written off as resort tax, but there’s no excuse for the breakfast. Aside from the so-so food, everything else is amazing and we would definitely stay there again. Also, the spa is something you need to see even if you don’t get a spa treatment."

"Property was beautiful and the people were unbelievably kind and helpful. Food was great, breakfast was provided. Views of the Pitons were amazing. Took off one star because the mosquitos in the room were relentless even with the mosquito net and provided bug zapper, which made it impossible to rest. It is an open air concept hotel but would’ve appreciated at least the wooden flooring beneath the bed and bedroom to be sealed off from mosquitos."

"My husband and I stayed in the Romantic Room with an unbeatable view of the Petit Piton. The small plunge pool in our room was also nice. The only drawback to this property is the food. Breakfast is included but is nothing special. We had lunch and dinner once at the hotel. Prices are steep for what you get in terms of quantity. The staff was very kind and helpful, and we enjoyed the excursions we booked through the hotel. Despite the lackluster food, we would stay here again."

"If you’re planning a trip and worried about plans/things to do in St lucia if you plan on staying at Caldera don’t stress. On the property they have list of activities alongside prices and the host is always available to reach out too for suggestions or arranging taxis - The host made everything a million times more seamless making us less anxious. Whenever we took taxis they always encouraged us to let our drivers know if we need to make a pit stop for groceries all in all very hospitable. If you’re trying to get away from the more tourist heavy places as this area was surrounded by locals. All the locals were extremely friendly and helped with suggestions on things to see and do. I’d definitely go again ti redo the trip now i have expectations but without their help and support this trip wouldn’t have been as amazing. "The property and service from Janus and his staff are second to none. The house is beautiful, comfortable and thoughtfully designed. The views from the property are amazing and the pictures in the listing don’t do justice. Staying with Janus is like having a friend in St Lucia to give you the inside info to make the most your trip. "

TOPAZ APARTMENT VILLA - MOUNTAIN VIEW VILLA

"Everything about our stay at the Topaz apartments was magical! We did not know what to expect and Alicia and Roger far exceeded anything we could have thought possible. When we arrived we got a great tour of the apartment and then Alicia came and sat down with us. She asked what we liked to do and what budget we had, and proceeded to cultivate a truly unique Soufriere experience! Their preferred driver, Caleb, who is also their next door neighbor, was a great guide and we experienced the best local restaurants, rainforest tour, mineral baths, nature walks with amazing views. Everywhere we went we got huge smiles because Alicia booked the reservations for us and they all love her! We were truly welcomed as family and we will be forever grateful for the experience and hope to be back soon!!! I want to write way more, it was beyond amazing!"

"Room was really lovely with the open shower and the view out from the infinity pool and restaurant towards the pitons was unreal. We also took advantage of chocolate making and tour on site which was fab and cannot recommend taking the sunset boat trip with Captain Jungle and Francis enough. There was a slight issue with our bill on departure which could have been sorted earlier, otherwise, it would have been 5stars"
