Hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. Our main issue is that the bed frame/mattress were SO loud. "Very clean and quiet location, easily walkable to downtown. Shizuoka station is approximately 15-minutes away. Lots of cafes and matcha locations in the vicinity. Room is compact but spotless. Onsen a wonderful addition after walking the whole day. Go after dinner time, less crowded."

"Shimabukuro City Hotel is situated right next to the train station. There are eateries galore. Also, it is very close to the fishmarket, which just for your information is closed on Wednesdays. Staff was friendly. Check in was easy, as well as check out. Rooms were clean and large. Recommend this hotel"
