"Overall the room was comfortable, it was the bathroom that was a bit run down, as in my sink was not draining well, and the faucet was rusted. Other than that though, the room itself is very well kept and very clean. The lobby was very humid and the windows were covered in dew/water, could benefit with a few dehumidifier. Oh and there are bird in cages at the lobby, if you’re allergic, get your friend who’s not to check in instead."

Room TV can do screen casting and provide a charging port for USB charging at the bedside which is something basic in the current high-tech world but I rarely see it in old hotels so I am pleased that Shangri-La thought of this. "I’ve stayed here for the second time, each stay has been for a week minimum. It’s a good clean no frills apartment hotel. Ideal for business travelers who are spending less time in the room. The breakfast is quite basic but good enough to get going. "

"The furniture in the room is super dated but it is clean, extremely spacious, has a kitchenette with a fridge/freezer and everything was in good working order. The view (on the bay) was fantastic. Pressure in the shower was great, hot water immediately. The only issue we had was that the AC temperature did not seem to go up when we wanted it to, it just stayed at 23C, which was too cold for our baby but we turned it off and opened the window and that was fine.
