"Generally the hotel was spotless, the staff helpful and friendly and the breakfast excellent. Only 3 downsides. Firstly, the room was very small and the shower room so tiny you could scarcely turn round. Secondly, the hotel is a fair hike from Villers centre. Buses are few and far between and taxis don't exist in Villers and there isn't much around the hotel. Thirdly, the stairs from the underground car park come up outside the hotel. Got soaked. "Hotel is miles from Honfleur and on an industrial park. First room offered was on ground floor where window opened onto cars parked outside. So we asked to move. Next room had broken air con so once again we had to ask to move. Third room had broken door lock - we had to be given the key rather than card key. The toilet lid fell off whilst we were there. All three rooms looked basic and rather tired. One small shower towel per person provided. A picture on the walls would be a nice touch. Staff...

The pool staff was a bit aloof and didnt start the sauna's on time and I had to ask and they forgot to turn one of them on , (which wouldnt have mattered but I only had an hour and it was the reason I came) It is quite far from the train station and quite a pricey uber/ cab drive (38 euros from trouville station) but it is well worth it for the spa vibe and the beautiful floral decor around the hotel. "We spent 10 days at la Résidence Les embruns in September, and we loved it. It's an older property that would benefit from some renovations and updates (like a fresh coat of paint all over). That said, it's very close to the wonderful beach, and also services like a grocery store (Carrefour Market). Carole at the reception desk is a pleasure to deal with. Downtown is about one kilometre away, an easy and pleasant walk. Very recommended."

"The staff went out of their way to help us meet up with friends at another hotel. They made our rooms ready mid day so we could nap from an overnight flight from the US. They opened the restaurant next morning a half hour early to accommodate our time schedule. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!"
