"I stayed here a few years ago and it was noticeably better maintained back then. This time around, the overall experience was disappointing. The staff came across as borderline rude, and while the space was technically clean, it felt worn down and poorly cared for. We also had to repeatedly ask for basic amenities like towels and an iron, which shouldn’t be an issue. The location is solid, but that’s not enough to make up for everything else. I won’t be booking here again."

"The view from our hotel was priceless and access to the beach was great. We loved the staff. They were extremely helpful and gave great recommendations. The cleanliness of the rooms and surrounding areas was impeccable. Great location. Overall we loved our stay at Emperador. Unfortunately, the air conditioner did not keep the room cool. My husband looked and could definitely see the filters needed to be changed. Also, when booking the room be sure to check the fine print. The shuttle from the airport is not included and you must make arrangements ahead of time. But overall, we would stay there again, mostly because of the great staff, clean hotel and access to the beach."

"Room was not clean. Sheets were stained. Toilet was not working properly. Waited for maintenance but never showed up. Paid extra for a safe that was not working. Gave 2 starts for location, location is great. One staff member was rude at the beach entrance, when we were coming back from the beach the staff run to us and held my partner’s arm to check for the hotels bracelet instead of asking politely for us to show it."

"Room was very clean. Fresh towels daily. No patio lock. Security staff super helpful and attentive. We were always able to get lounge chairs and umbrella at beach. Beach gets very busy by end of the day. Pool is small, was often very busy with children in floats and splashing not much room for others. "
