This is a stunning property with very professional and friendly staff. There is a beautiful perimeter walk on property, around the golf course and grounds which can include the lake (~1.2-1.5 mile circuit). The food in Palmer’s bar was fine, we liked the chicken supreme quite a bit and the wait staff, especially Derry, was wonderful. We had a wonderful stay. The bed was comfortable and room clean with all the necessary amenities. The hotel has a huge restaurant and Irish bar with many different rooms and 2 levels to accommodate all types of clientele! They had live music and the performances were amazing! The best part was the customer service provided with care, kindness, enthusiasm and pure happiness, always quick with help and a smile from their employee Niall, he was such a pleasure! Very nice.

We stayed here for 2 nights for a portion of our honeymoon. From the start, we loved everything about it. Staff were super friendly and helpful with check in, and then will drawing on a map for us to help us find things to do in Galway. The included breakfast was really good. The West restaurant (upstairs) was a little too fancy for us, so we ended up eating down the street at O'Grady's on the Pier. It was amazing seafood. When I booked this hotel, I was so excited to see it in person. The Dean did not disappoint in all areas. Upon arrival, the front desk staff (I didn't get their names) shared the best things about Galway, how to access them and engaged in a conversation that made you feel like you were a guest in their home. Decor is very dramatic. Nice place, nice staff. Pretty clean, food was good. Nothing bad to say but if you don’t own a Valentino suit, you might not match the furniture.

A very nice hotel with a great location, only a block from the train. Easy to walk everywhere. By far the friendliest staff of any of the hotels we stayed at in Ireland. Would recommend to friends and family.

Parking was not on-site, but was right next door and a discounted rate. Hotel was an easy 100 ft from the ramp. Busy area right on the main pedestrian walkway. Easy walking access to everything. Very friendly and helpful staff both in the hotel and the 1520 pub.

Nice hotel right on Galway Bay. I visited in late September but would be lovely in summer. Spacious room, good breakfast. Spa services available but I didn’t use them. About 1.5 miles / 25 minute pleasant walk to Galway town center. Large hotel that seems to be used for conferences and meeting point for larger tour groups.

The staff definitely made us feel welcomed and the room felt nice even though the bed didn’t feel unclean though that was the only flaw I’d say it had

This a very quaint B&B with one of the best hot breakfasts in Ireland served on hot plates. Each room has its own boiler for unlimited hot water. The location is just minutes from Eyre Square and great shopping opportunities and even closer to the train station to Dublin. Only downside is it is a bit pricey. Great place to stay.

This property is adorable! Beware: there is no lift, the stairs are narrow and the room is tiny. With that said, we loved it. The rooms are identified by the names of authors, the breakfast is ample and the location offers multiple options for food and drink steps from your door.

The room was gorgeous, the staff extremely kind and helpful, and the meals were really very good. The spa and pool were better than anything I could have dreamt up! Sauna, steam room, hot tub, huge pool and work out room were all top notch!

The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly. It was a very good experience. There was also plenty of parking.

I don't think it is possible to rate Ashford Castle as anything less than a full 5-star experience. In fact, if I could give it six stars I would. The level of customer service is so far above and beyond the call of duty it almost takes your breath away. Yes, it is expensive. But it is truly worth every penny.
