"Overall a wonderful and affordable property. The beds were comfortable. The only concern was that even with the ac running, the bed nearer the window area would get extremely stuffy at night, I had to go out and buy a table top fan because there was so little air circulation. However, overall a great stay with friendly staff, SUPER close to the entrance to RMNP."

"Our overall stay at this cabin was wonderful! There was an apparently unprecedented problem that developed right before we arrived, and the owner was active, responsive, and a great communicator, solving the problem as quickly as possible over a weekend, and following up with us almost every day. He responded with generosity and courtesy throughout our visit and after. The cabin environment itself was beautiful, we very much enjoyed the view of Mary’s Lake and the surrounding mountains, and being 10 minutes from downtown Estes Park and about 10 minutes from the Rocky Mountain National Park was perfect for us. I enjoyed trout fishing in the Big Thompson River and Estes Lake, as did my four-year-old granddaughter. There were also two pack and plays, one of which we did use, as well as an infant highchair.Our party included people as young as five months old through grown adults, and everyone was comfortable and content in the cabin. The lower level did get a little bit cool when the AC was running, but we were able to spend most of our weeklong stay without using it much at night in particular. We enjoyed the beautiful mornings and evenings, the occasional wildlife passing by, and mostly the quiet and comfortable time we shared as a family. We highly recommend Gary, the owner, and this beautiful cabin as a place for families to stay and enjoy!"

"The location of this cabin is fantastic for visiting Rocky Mountain National Park—less than a 10-minute drive away. It is wonderfully peaceful and private, away from the crowds of Estes Park while still being very convenient, with a lovely supermarket only five minutes away. Communication with the property manager was seamless, with replies usually received within minutes.The cabin has lots of historic character, and we especially enjoyed sitting on the porch in the evenings. We knew it was a small, older cabin when booking, but it did feel a bit more compact in person. This was manageable for us, although for a longer stay some guests may find the space a little restrictive.We appreciated the rustic charm, but felt a few thoughtful updates would make it more comfortable, particularly for the price. There is no air conditioning, which was fine for us, although some windows were difficult to open and close. The cabin is also quite dark inside, so a little additional or brighter lighting would help. The bathroom is functional, although the position of the tap makes the sink slightly awkward to use, and the charming porch chairs were not especially comfortable for longer periods.These points did not stop us from having a lovely stay. The cabin’s privacy, peaceful setting and proximity to the park are its greatest strengths, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there."
