"My room had a balcony, giving a nice view of the river. The room appeared clean and well appointed. The breakfast as nice, but overpriced."

"It is an older property owned by the state of Kentucky, has not been updated, but it still had a charm. The old doors on each room, it was simple and very clean. Breakfast in the restaurant was fresh and prepared just as requested. So good. My waitress was the sweetest. I was at my daughter's wedding and the desk clerk called to see if I was still coming because it was so late. She was so welcoming. I heard some staff talking about how long it had been since they had gotten a raise. I felt so bad for them because each one I met gave their all to make my stay wonderful. They are the heart of the Kenlake and the as representatives of our state. They were a big part of my very restful stay for the mother of a bride. If you love simplicity, beautiful views, a good peaceful walk and friendliness, this is your place. Blessings!!!"

"Everything was fine except there was no phone in the room and I couldn’t find an ice machine. There was an ice bucket in the room. "

"The place is a dump. I checked in, when to the room, walked out and left. I didnt stay there. I didnt even ask for a refund. It looked like those people need the money more than i did. There were no lights on anywhere other than Christmas lights in the lobby. Several broke down cars in the parking lot. Trash in the room."
