"A late flight arrival made for a dark arrival at the houseboat where we were lost in the night without a phone for the host. Our age was a hinderance to an enjoyable visit and we left after two nights."

Villas Foch is a boutique hotel located a few blocks from all the action in Bordeaux.
The hotel itself is very clean and very smartly appointed. The rooms have been furnished with comfort in mind. We booked a “cozy” room because we didn’t plan to spend much time in the hotel. We normally book larger rooms. But the room was great and very comfortable.
BUT the best part about Villas Foch is the VERY young staff. I have no idea where the Owners found these young people but they definitely aimed...

The YNDO is a unique place to stay. Small, cozy, friendly, with a tiny but delicious dining area. Breakfast was super! Fresh oysters were the freshest and best ever! Location is a couple of blocks off the busy area, which is good and quiet.

Everything was wonderful at this hotel. It started with amazing and friendly stafff at check-in, during the stay and checking out. We had to leave super early to the train station so they had us check out the night before to save time and helped us reserve a taxi to the train station. When we were leaving, they had the coffee in to-go cup ready for us too! So nice of him to do that. We have been to many places and the staff at this hotel by far is one of the best. Wonderful property; our room was clean, spacious and light-filled. Breakfast was delicious.
The only downside is the location is a little dodgy and a 30 minute walk into the city centre/old town. We didn’t mind the walk but after dark it’s not well lit
