"Room was very good, air conditioning in room on very hot days (90’s and 100 plus days) was very good. However, they had to turn off or down air conditioning in hallways on 100 plus days due to power usage problems so it was hot in those places then. But when outside temperatures came down to the lower nineties and eighties outside after those few days they were able to restore hallway air conditioning to normal. All was good in room at all times."

"I really enjoyed my stay at the Doubletree by Hilton and would definitely recommend it. Pros: (1) the staff was SO FRIENDLY and helpful all the time, absolutely all the time (2) the bed was heavenly (3) AC worked perfectly and kept me very cool in 100+ heat (4) super quiet, no noise at least in my room (5) I personally enjoyed the breakfast buffet very much (and their staff was great also) but might be high for a family on a budget ($22ish (plus tip) per person. Bonus: If you are good shape or don't mind a tiny Uber ride ($10ish), Silver Spring Station (Red Line) is only 1/2 mile away (reasonably safe walk even at midnight), and from there you can get immediately to Union Station (15 minutes) with AMTRAK, in the heart of the city or anywhere else within DC about a total of 20-25 minutes (maybe with a super easy transfer). I am from NYC, and DC's Metro System is amazing. However, I did mistime the trains once (they shut down around midnight be careful and check) and it was only through the Grace of God I was able to find a city cab to take me back ($40-45 plus tip) bc Uber, that particular night, wouldn't fetch me for some reason. Also: During July 4th, I scored a room for only $137 night plus tax. Great deal for the service and somewhat higher endish feel."

"The property was nice and clean, the rooms and beds were comfortable. Carpet was nice and soft. Customer service was good, I was checked in by Keisha, she was awesome, very helpful. It was 114° outside for most of our stay. The lobby was very well air conditioned, the rooms were as well but the last 2 days where the temperature dropped outside, temperature rised inside of the rooms and we couldn't get them back down so my last night of sleeping at the hotel was a bit uncomfortable. The deep freezer that they kept the ice in had broken so there was nowhere to get ice because they didnt have machines on any of the floors. Fridge wasn't that cold either. Overall instill enjoyed myself. I would stay again."
