The Kings Arms is a charming property with very helpful staff, they were all fantastic throughout my whole stay. There are lots of shops and restaurants around and Godalming is a lovely town full of character.

The hotel is charming, and the staff were extremely polite and helpful. Parking spaces are limited, but thankfully we were able to park. It's well located for shopping on the High Street, or for the short riverside walk.] Our room was the classic double, which was bijou, and perfectly adequate. The restaurant offering was good.

Check in and check out were simple and the staff were friendly. Possibly the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever stayed in - the pillows especially as they were rock hard. The room was quite hot but the staff were happy to provide us a sheet to use instead of the duvet (there was a fan but it was quite noisy so we didn’t use it). The curtains were great at blocking out the light. It would have been nice to have some non-dairy milk with the tea and coffee facilities in the room, as we did request it beforehand, but I was pleased with the decaffeinated English Breakfast teabags.

Friendly welcome, pleasant staff. Check in was seamless. Arranged us a nice table in the restaurant and as it was a birthday celebration, a free main and dessert. Room decor was nice as was the bathroom. The outlook was a bit dismal ie brick wall but we were only in there to sleep for one night. Location was great, very central for everything. Breakfast was ok.

The staff and breakfast were great. The room was clean; however, it was very hot as the hotel does not have air-conditioning and it was unusually warm and we were only provided a small fan. A larger or additional fan would have been helpful. Also, the TV did not work, but we did not spend much time in the room due to the warm temperature.
