"Very nice stay at Novotel in Ypres/Leper. Parking had been a concern, but it turned out to be easy to find on-street parking in the evening (we arrived around 1815) and the hotel staff were very helpful in not only recommending parking options but also providing a parking disc which proved useful. The room was brilliant as well, especially as we had our 2 children who had their own little bedroom with 2 individual beds; had been expecting a sofa-bed but they got proper beds! Great night sleep for all! Great stuff. Then there was also a mini-fridge in the room which was helpful. Definitely recommend this hotel if visiting the town for the service. If you’re also looking for food options in the evening, would highly recommend Captain Cook on the street towards the Meningate and after the 2000 service the restaurant quietens down. "

"Five nights for day trips in the area "

"Room was below par. Duvet had cigarette burns in it despite it supposed being non smoking room. Smell of cigarettes. Bathroom door didn’t close properly and wc ran continuously making noise. "

"Service was excellent from start to finish. The gentleman that greeted us was efficient and throughout our stay helped the other staff with english translation. We could not fault him, I just wish we had asked his name to add his name to this review, he was on duty every day we were staying at the hotel. The food available for breakfast was fantastic, tasty and so much choice. The meals in the evening was also delicious. The hotel is 1 minute from the train station. There is a car park avaiable for 10 euros per day. We would absolutely recommend this hotel & will definitely be staying their again"

"It’s a cheap 2/3 star hotel which at £40 for a double room and breakfast is a bargain. It’s not in the greatest condition but if you’re expecting more then you should be expecting to pay more. Perfect for an overnight stay before the shuttle or ferries. "
