A lovely place to spend a week at the beach with the Grandkids. Indoor pool spa and sauna were great. Short walk to catch Tram, beach access across the road and not far to Cavill Ave. Apartment was clean and tidy with ocean view balcony. Would stay here again

The hotel is in a nice location close to many shops and restaurants. The beach is across the street and the pool area was very nice. Our room was larger than I expected with a washer and dryer that was very nice. The bathrooms could use some upgrading. There was some areas in the bathroom that were rusted and not the cleanest but overall it was a decent place to stay.

Great value for money. Located right on the esplanade. We had ocean view apartments and we were able to watch the fireworks from the balcony! The apartments are a little outdated, but still very clean and tidy, with comfortable mattress and pillows. Great pool, indoors and outdoors, jacuzzi and bbq amenities as well. Would definitely return.

Unfortunately the air conditioning was not working in my unit. The main bedroom only had a ceiling fan which was incredibly noisy. I was located on the 6th floor and there was considerable noise at night from traffic and trams. The location and position was great.

Excellent location, right across to the beach. Great coffee just down stairs. Beautiful views from every room of our ocean view apartment. Apartment very spacious, comfortable beds, kitchen had most things you would need. 2 bathrooms was very nice. Pool and bbq area was lovely. Would definitely stay again.

The apartment is very new and comfortable, more spacious than we expected. The sea view is beautiful. But the air conditioner only runs for 2 hours then turns off and the wing doesn't work either.

Good apartment for reasonable price.

Good apartment for the price. Centrally located, but a bit tired. We had apartment on second floor and a higher level would have been better as the balcony was a bit close to the street. Parking was free, but car park was quite tight. The pool, spa, sauna and BBQ area were great.

The staff were very pleasant, our stay was amazing, the rooms were so spacious and felt very homely. We had everything on hand for sleeping, cooking and recreation. Nicki was so lovely, what a credit to Breakfree. We accidentally found our spare key from previous tenants and handed them him. I can’t wait to come back and enjoy the amazing view… and feel welcomed from the team at Breakfree .. thank you.

Fabulous property - so close to all you need. Facilities are fantastic and very clean. Only complaint was the room was sold as ‘air-conditioned’. However there was only air in the living space not in the bedrooms. It was very warm at night even with the ceiling fans on full speed. Expedia need to change to show air conditioning not in bedrooms. This was for room 15D. May not be for all rooms - but best to check when booking. Otherwise our stay was wonderful and we have no complaints! Thank you for such a lovely stay.

The view from the property was immaculate and overlooks the Surfers Paradise beach and the elevation made the noise quite faint and bearable. It is very close to the Surfers' mall and dining and there is a beach entry and Lifeguards station right in front of the building. The indoor pool is very nice and heated and the outdoor pool area is well maintained and beautiful. The spa and the sauna were lovely to enjoy and added elegance to the stay. The car park has two entries and out reserved spot was easy to get into but many of the spots are tight and somewhat difficult to negotiate for a large car. The property provides two set of keys which is very handy. The few negative things were first the check in was delayed until around 5pm as the previous occupants left the property in a shape that needed extended cleaning. The bathroom doors had no locks on them and we had to yell every time one of us opened the door while the bathroom was occupied. The shower recess glass doors have huge gaps that the water leaked through and we had to mob the floor after every use. The dryer filter is broken and doesn't stay in place and looks like it has been fixed using blue tac but otherwise functional. The fridge is quite old and froze and ruined our food and grocery frequently. The lifts stopped operating during a storm and we had to climb the 17 floors on foot and while that was to me and the kids a good exercise I can't imagine a person who is old, unfit or with heart condition to be able.

Overall a good experience. Was a good sized two bed apartment with kitchen and large lounge with nice city views via a big corner balcony. Easy walk to Surfers shops and supermarkets. No noise from other rooms or floors (we were on 11). Lots of street noise with the tram passing directly below, but won't bother anyone use to living in a city. I can see why some reviewers find the place a little "dated." Little things like marks on the walls, some shabby bits of furniture, and some cheap tables/chair (though doesn't seem consistant - one room I visited had much nicer stuff), poorly sealing outside doors (the whistling wind was constant at times), woobly tiles, an oven that took literally an hour to get to heat, and paint over doorjams making them stick let's the place down. Cleanliness was ok, but dishes needed rewashed as they ask the occupants to do so at the end and it was done poorly. A new set of sterilised dishes and cutlery (which were also rather cheap) would be much preferred. Main gripe would be we didn't get the internet codes until five days in, you have to sign up to their "club," to get it, and ultimately had to ask. Similarly the supply of basics like tea/coffee/sugar were minimal and needed to be purchased (along with oil, salt, pepper,etc). In comparison I stayed two nights at what is likely the most budget place in Surfers just prior and had wifi on arrival, daily service, and as many of the basics as I needed (plus snacks!).
