Rudeness was not necessary
I booked 2 single beds for my daughter and I. I was very rudely informed that they do not have single beds. I then asked to borrow a set of sheets for a blow up mattress I had with me to make up a second bed. Mother was argumentative and rude but the daughter was friendly and helpful and brought me a spare set of sheets.
The room was dirty, old and nothing worked. We went out for the night and came back and there was cockroaches on the kitchen bench, the TV wouldn't turn on and there was no hot water. We had to turn it on at the switch board. The bed was so old and the mattress cover was stained. The absolute worst accommodation we have ever paid for and it was expensive too at $200 per night.

The property is in a great location with friendly staff, The room was hot and stuffy with no fresh air ventilation and an inadequate air conditioner, dirty window glass, no towel rails in bathroom, 2 out of 3 light globes in bathroom not working and the bed was not up to expected standard.
Easy to check in. Clean and efficient little 1 bedroom unit. Great view!

Not what we paid for
I booked and paid for 3 via Expedia. When we checked in at 6pm on Sunday it was only a Queen bed. I expected there to be a sofa bed but wasn't. We only had linen/towels for 2 and my son had to sleep on the couch.
When I mentioned it to the front counter monday morning there was not even eeally an apology for the overlook.

Unit central to everything
Overall we were happy with our stay and would go back, but here are some tips for anyone thinking of staying here.
There isn’t a daily cleaning service, so there’s no fresh towels each day, you make your own beds etc. Longer stays I think include one complimentary service, but you’d need to confirm this.
A small amount of complimentary tea, coffee, sugar etc. are provided in your room, however if you use all of this and want more, you need to purchase these items off reception. This also applies to toilet paper, washing detergent and washing up liquid. This is the only part of the stay I didn’t like! So if you stay here, bring some of these items just in case. I’d also recommend taking some paper towel or an old cloth to wipe down the outside furniture, before sitting on it.
The unit itself is very central to everything. Harbourtown, Australia Fair and Pacific Fair are only a few minutes drive away. Parking at the resort was great and each unit has an allocated secure underground park. The car park was also easy to negotiate.
The light in our bathroom died on the last day of our stay, but was fixed within minutes after reporting it to reception.
For our 4 night stay we paid approx. $110 per night. For the fact that there’s no daily service and you need to purchase more of the complimentary items, I personally wouldn’t be prepared to pay anymore than what we did.
Was the ideal place for us while at the Comm Games. Almost opposite Swimming venue and triathlon course. Tidy place and well kept.

It’s in a great location
There are many rules you have to abide by! You cannot leave a cup or dish in the sink ... $35 for cleaning
$1.20for extra toilet roll!!! The dispensers they have in the bathroom... shampoo etc are pretty empty but will charge you to refill! Anything out of 9-5 is charged at an extra rate!
If you want more coffee tea milk etc ... extra charge
Wouldn’t stay here with children unless you do a full clean of the unit before you leave!
Very convenient and close to public transport.
And shopping n restaurants too.

Reasonably priced accomodation
We chose this resort due to its location near a sporting venue where my son was competing. A walking distance to a main shopping centre.
The apartment 30 where we stayed has old carpets and beds are a bit too soft (due to age I guess). The air condition is rather loud.
Apartment size is reasonable for two people. Bathroom is reasonably clean.
In summary, it's a good price apartment with the right location for us. Will recommend if you are looking to stay in Southport without costing too much.
We booked in to stay at this hotel for 2 nights and only lasted the first night, we left first thing the next morning .The cleanliness was filthy, on the balcony it looked as though someone had just finished washing a pet as there was wet hair left behind .the overall room was well below acceptable. the air conditioner sounded like there was a helicopter hovering out side the room not to mention the stuff dripping out of it and then there was the smell all night of the pot getting smoked next door.We also misplaced our key in the transport back to hotel from dinner and were charged $50( had to be cash) to let us back into our room.
Can honestly say would strongly suggest not staying here .

Mehh
Was disappointed as l booked for 2 adults and 1 child yet arrived to only one bed place could have been a little cleaner but wasn't too bad just a shame we had to try and utilize two small couches as a bed.
My partner and I stayed in Unit 90 over the New Year for 6 nights. For the price the apartments are very good value if a little old (nothing fancy as you would expect but everything functional). The aircon worked really well and the bed was comfy. There is secure basement parking and overall the complex seemed secure. The swimming pool is really nice too. It's close to restaurants and bars and the mall, close to the Southport station for the light rail which takes you quickly into the heart of Surfers Paradise.
The hotel also had a great view of the New Years fireworks that were held at Broadwater Parklands (from the stairs side of the building).
The only negative comment would be that some people park in the wrong car parks in the basement and apparently there is nothing that the staff can do about it so you may be forced to park on the street if someone inconsiderate takes your spot.

All was good except no wifi, can only be purchased through Freedom Internet which I found very ordinary & expensive. I was given a 2 week free trial by reception but the login numbers did not belong to Freedom Internet
I picked the hotel for the location and the rates seemed reasonable, however I was disappointed with the room, and often it's only small things that make the difference between a good and ordinary experience.
1. the room had a good view of the water, but the noise of the traffic was constant and you had to keep the patio door closed, especially trying to sleep.
2. The Air Conditioner would not turn on so the room was quite stuffy with the Patio door closed.
3. the TV only had about 2 channels, all the other channels were just static
4. the room is starting to show it's age and the kitchen, carpet and bathroom fittings were starting to look tired.
We were charged twice for our stay and reception was very unpleasant when informed. Great location however the terrible customer service and large amount of time spent getting a refund for the second payment ruined our stay.
