Dump of a motel

The motel is a dump. Bed covers were ripped, room smelled bad, furniture in disrepair. Staff was nice and I informed them of issues, took photos. Stay somewhere else.

At check in we were told they had some major water leak repair going on and we had to find another hotel. Imagine that how do you find a hotel last minute (literally) when you can't find one two weeks ago?? Expedia came to the rescue and luckily we were able to relocate not too far from there.

This is a terrible hotel. The room smelled of mold, there is no wifi signal, and they charge a lot. There was a sign in the bathroom saying that if you steal stuff, you have to pay for it. The only reason one should stay here is that it’s cheaper than Santa Barbara

We saw the previous reviews and were worried about this stay. The motel is very tired and old and desperately needs updating. The room had be cleaned well but you felt dirty around the soft furnishings. We definitely didn’t bother using the pool which looked nasty or staying for breakfast. I wouldn’t recommend or want to stay here again.

Had booked a room with two queen size bed but they have a room with one queen bed only while charging for the two queen bed on Expedia. They keep the office closed between 11-12 when the flights arrive Santa Barbara!

Property is unkept. We got a room on the first floor. The door didn’t lock all the way and the area around looked unsafe. We ended up not even staying in the room for the night because how unsafe I felt to have my son stay in that place.

The motel was filthy, large hair balls and dirt on the floor and stains everywhere. The air conditioner ran the entire time set at 60 but it was extremely warm in the room. There was no clock and very few outlets-none near the beds. The woman at the front desk was nice and tried to be helpful.

When we checked in to our room, there was a bloody fingerprint on the bathroom door, the room reeked of pinesol and the toilet seat was down. We immediately changed rooms. The second room was much cleaner, but the noise that the air conditioner made kept us awake almost all night!

Staff was super nice! Room was adequately clean. Mostly just wish there was actually hand soap, towels (only got 1), more than 2 flat pillows, and bottled water was free. Breakfast was also disappointing in terms of the contents of the bag. I understand that stuff gets taken but given the deposit it'd be nice to still get the room fully stocked like most super 8s given the price. My partner and I are both trans and did not face any overt discrimination.

Not Worth the Price!!

$250 per night when the room was worth about $50. Tried for a one hour early check-in and the front desk clerk was rude and wouldn’t even consider it, because “I’m at lunch!“ The place is old. Rooms are tiny. On the positive side, the clerk who checked me in was very kind and polite. It was quiet overnight, the bed was fairly comfortable, the TV was nice, along with the cable channels that were offered.

Unimpressive and overpriced.

The rooms are dark and the carpet stained. There is a general odour of damp/dirt also. The reception is indifferent. They also take a 100USD deposit which takes up to 7 days to refund. Unimpressive and overpriced!
