"Beautifully kept and restored historic building built as a hotel overlooking the Mississippi. Fresh flowers at the entrance, in the lobby and dining room. Clean, classy, pleasant and helpful staff. Good restaurant with view of the river. Nicely kept park and walk/ bike path behind the hotel. We went to go biking on the Cannon Valley trail. Staff offered to lick up our bike. Ample, easy access parking garage. Would like to have towel racks or shelf for towels outside the shower space. Would like to have cups in the bathroom. Love the pressed tin ceiling, tasteful wall and window coverings, historic reproduction carpets and all of the historic artifacts documented in the hallways. Like staying in a well kept museum. Memorable and distinctive. Beats the typical hotel experience."
