"Parking at the back which was easy to find. Plenty spaces free while we were there in July. Gorgeous decked terraces at the back with flowers and lights. We entered car reg on the screen as we went in & went to check-in. This was an easy process and staff member was polite & efficient. We were shown to our room at the top of the first lot of stairs & the staff member explained about breakfast etc. Lovely sized room overlooking King Street. We were there during a heatwave, but the room was cool. Blinds were closed & one window open. Has secondary glazing panels also. A fan was provided (was noisy at first then quietened down). Large wardrobe & plenty hangers. A hairdryer was included. Had a sofa & a dressing table & mirror. This was also where the tea and coffee making products were. Biscuits, sweets & 2 bottles of water were also provided, which is a nice touch. Room was clean & bed was really comfy, nice mattress and pillows. Lovely bedside cabinets with lamps. USB charge points. Bathroom was a good size & clean, some toiletries, slippers & toilet rolls provided.
The pub area downstairs has an open feel about it & nicely set out. We had the full English breakfast which was great. Could also have bacon sandwich/muffin, eggs Benedict etc, cereal, fruit, juice, pastries if wanted. Pot of tea included. Sauce, jam & butter were already on the table. Had a great stay here, with no issues. Able to let ourselves in after being at an event after hours. Will definitely be back! 🙂"
