"This was one of THE best experiences I have ever had in all of my travels, including the two weeks in Japan. "I love how accommodating the staff was here. We were nearly an hour late for our dinner but they went above and beyond to serve us anyway. The food was one of the best we've had throughout our entire trip of Japan as well. The room and atmosphere was also very cozy and we loved pretty much everything!"

"We had a very pleasant stay. The food was excellent, everything was spotless, and the staff was exceptionally attentive. We especially enjoyed the morning ceremony, which made the experience memorable. On the downside, the stay felt quite expensive by any standard. "The Shikitei is right on the edge of Nara Park - essentially it is in the park. In terms of position it couldn't be better. It had all the comforts of a ryokan including a great onsen bath,, and wonderful staff. I can't recommend it more highly."
