Champlain Islands Marathon Stay

We were visiting from Texas, California, Tennessee, Pennsylvania and Central Vermont for the marathon. This house was a great location convenient to the start/finish line and the course itself. It was an easy trip to Burlington and there were enough local eateries to feed us all. The house was as described with gorgeous views of Lake Champlain. Would definitely return for more relaxation and less running!

4th or 5th stay in this wonderful farmhouse located on the edge of Lake Champlain. Always a great view, wonderful bonfires, and all-around fabulous spot to relax & unwind!

Another beautiful long weekend away

A very nice Farm House on the Lake, six of us have stayed at this location many times. My only wish would be a larger TV in the living room for the evenings when the day is done.Other than that 5 Stars~ TY ~

Graduation Stay

This was a lovely property with wonderful sunset views. Owner was very responsive. The house was very spacious and comfortable. We were there too early in the season to take advantage of the water access, which we were bummed about because the weather was beautiful! Would love to stay there again in the summer!!

Old Farm House, needs TLC and a thorough cleaning

Outside grounds were pretty, good views of the lake from the back porch. However, inside furnishings were beat up, wires and cords hanging about, kitchen and fridge were not clean (had to wash the coffee pot, countertops, and cookware before we used them), bathrooms had toothpaste smears and drips (and not sure what else) on countertops. Linens were thin and old. Unfortunately, it just gave us the creeps.

Magical spot

My family had a wonderful long weekend at this house on Grand Isle. It's located right on the lake and the views are fantastic. The 3 season room is one of my favorites and I have looked forward to sitting out there every day. Cannot say enough about this rental. Plenty of room, fully equipped, clean and comfortable. Have rented a few times and cannot wait for my next visit!!

Great house on the water!

This was our 2nd time renting this house for vacation and we have already booked for another year. We were excited to see there had been some upgrades made since last time we were there. Some new window ac’s to help keep us cool and some new furniture. The house is huge and very good for a large group. Having multiple restrooms on every level was helpful too. We loved all the games and activities that are provided; volleyball net, pool and loads of board games. It was magical being right on the water and the dock is perfect for sunning and lounging on floats. This house was also in a great location, nice and close To all of our favorite spots. The views of the lake from the house was gorgeous and we Loved all the outdoor seating!

We are repeat visitors. The house is perfectly prepared in a lakeside way for family The gardens are gorgeous and even the sometime angry big lake is gorgeous We missed our booking window for 2024 but will look ahead!!

Perfect getaway!

Seven of my high school girlfriends & I just spent a week in this gorgeous farmhouse--it was absolutely fabulous! Roomy, nicely decorated, well equipped, & right on beautiful Lake Champlain! We did day trips to Stowe, Burlington, Montepelier & Montreal, then back home for wine & beautiful sunsets. Couldn't have been any better!

Delightful Time y the Lake

Great summer family vacation spot near Burlington and UVM. Great for a family vacation with our adult children one of whom was attending UVM summer school. Owner / manager generally receptive to issues. Kitchen was well appointed and great for cooking family meals. Bedrooms were comfortable but got hot when it got warmer. Generally a delight.

Great stay for a large family

I promised my kids I would give our stay at Susan's house as many stars as I could. They wanted to give it a hundred stars, but alas, 5 is the limit. We obviously had a great time. The littler people loved having so many things to play with, including air hockey, ping pong, the tetherball, and the other fun options available. The bigger people appreciated the clean and comfortable kitchen, the absolutely stunning view of the lake, and the proximity to Burlington while staying somewhere special and quieter. We would all love to come back in the summer when we can take advantage of the lake. In the meantime, we loved our stay and would recommend 100 out or 5 stars. Thank you, Susan!

Great lake house

We had a wonderful family holiday at this house. The house had lovely touches of being decorated for the holidays, and the space was great for my family. The windowed porch definitely needs heaters for the winter (which we were prepared with!), and it was an awesome addition to the space, which would have been a little squishy inside. The beds were not all the newest most comfortable beds, but they did their jobs! We would definitely come back, and we'd love to visit again in the summer and enjoy the outdoor space more! Beware, entering the 3rd floor has a very short ceiling for anyone over 5'6", but the space opens up after the staircase!

What a place!

From the gorgeous landscaping to the black shore made by nature entirely of skipping stones, this is the place for a great vacation. The big old farm house is comfy and well appointed. The huge sun room and deck overlooking the mighty lake were perfect for daydreaming, doing art, talking, dining. Eight of us. We loved it. Only drawback was that the six sleeping on second floor shared one bathroom, but there are two more baths, just not on that floor. Most days kayaking was great but when the wind is up waves form. All in all so very beautiful.

Great property

We rented this property for a multi-generational gathering for UVM Commencement. It was perfect! The house and property were exactly as described. Only 30 minutes from Burlington made the drive in for ceremonies and dinner or shopping a breeze. The house had all the kitchen necessities covered, even some of the basics you might forget to bring yourself. The grounds were large, well kept and peaceful. We had a great time and would definitely rent it again and would recommend it to others. Besides the initial process of renting we had little interaction with the owner, well because, everything was great. The only drawback is the road, because of its proximity to the ferry to New York, there can be spurts of fast moving traffic when the ferry comes in. The road is not conducive to taking a walk.

Lake Champlain

It was a nice stay. It started off very muggy and we did have trouble getting the fans on the porch and air hockey room going. All remotes had to be tracked down. They were all broken. None of them had battery covers or batteries. One had the battery connection ripped out. I found one battery on the floor in the corner of the room so that one got the air hockey room fan going. My son in law worked on the others and got the porch fans going. That did make a difference. All lights in the ceilings were loaded and I mean loaded with bugs as were the window sills. Cob webs on the fireplace. So the lack of cleanliness was a bit much. I vacuumed the porch area and ceilings to remove bugs and con webs. We just felt it wasn’t really safe with the drop off in the yard for the two year old. Also with him going down to the water wasn’t great for him. The other two did well. They are 6 and 10. Rocks in the water even with shoes very slippery. It worked for some in our party and not for others. The TV’s in the rooms did not work. Would not connect to cable. Just the one downstairs worked. So, the stay was OK depending on what you were looking for. Also the mention of a swim raft in the description was not in the water. It was up in the front yard.
