River Run: Secluded Riverside A-Frame & Sauna Two Miles West Of Grand Marais

10/10 Excellent

"Amazing place. Spent 4 days with the family (husband and two teen girls). Loved the fire pit, the river, and the convenience of the location to town and trails. Plenty of water was provided, the compost toilet was clean, and the home was clean and well stocked with kitchen basics. We did a lot of hiking, so the sauna and bucket shower were awesome. It is a 0.2 mile walk from parking to the cabin, but it is a beautiful, well maintained path. The carts were helpful for bringing bags and food between the vehicle and the cabin. We would 100% stay at River Run again. For those looking for solitude, nature, and a camping-like experience, this is the perfect place. It’s like camping, except with beds, clean dishes, and electricity."
