The rooms were very clean, and contactless check-in made it quick and simple. The place was quiet and had a gas station next door, so you could grab a quick snack before bed. I will definitely stay there again.

This was our first time staying at the Trail Inn, and we were not disappointed. Though it's not "fancy", it seems to have been recently renovated, and was spotlessly clean with ample parking. Our room had new carpet and other flooring, excellent A/C unit, light-blocking window coverings, comfortable beds, new Roku TV, microwave and larger mini-refrigerator. For the price, it was perfect for us. We would stay there again when in Grantsburg.

Such a cute little inn for a great price! The room was very clean and set up with helpful little notes and nice products. The bathroom isn’t the most updated, but it was clean and worked just fine for us. Easy parking and a super convenient self-check-in. We got there late and wished the parking lot maybe had a bit more light. Bonus points that the laundromat attached is adorable. We would stay here again!

There weren't any people around at check in - it is all by phone and email and codes. Very easy. Our room had an odor and we called the number given. They explained why it may have a smell but it would go away quickly and it did. Everything was clean. Microwave and refrigerator in the room. Great price!

We’ve stayed here for years and it’s always been convenient, comfortable and friendly. Apparently the former owner sold, and now the room check in is all done virtually, which we’ve not had to deal with before. It was a surprise at check in to have no front desk, and nobody on site to assist. We had to initiate a zoom like call for help getting keys. The remote agent was helpful and we got keys, and it worked ok. She was in Canada. I’d rather deal with a local, on site manager and have some personal interaction. It worked. Hotel was clean, newly painted, comfortable.

I love the prompt replies from the front desk. I love the easy check in and check out process and clear instructions on how to do so. There are brand new upgrades the rooms are remodeled. And the parking lot was plowed nicely from all the snow we just had. I am a huge hotel reviewer on Google and I will be leaving a great review and recommendations to stay here! Thank you!

I had a wonderful stay at The Trail Inn in Grantsburg. The room was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully updated, and the atmosphere felt welcoming from the moment I arrived. The contactless check-in was fast and perfect, and the biggest advantage was that I didn’t have to stand in any queue—everything was smooth and effortless. The location is great—quiet and peaceful, yet close to trails and local attractions, making it ideal for both relaxing and exploring. The property well-maintained. Fast WiFi. Overall, The Trail Inn exceeded my expectations. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Grantsburg.

The smell of wet dog and vaping were throughout the room. The bathroom door wood not shut. The hot water faucet in the sink area was very hard to turn on and there was not a stopper in the sink. The air conditioning did work, and it was fine at keeping the temperature. But honestly the odors made me feel like it was grimy. The rest was a clean and neat experience. Check in was a breeze - all electronic.

The room was very clean. The beds were very comfortable. The amenities were fine. The check in was good. I had no complaints except when our TV went out and the internet was out we had no one to turn to to help us because no one was there to help. No staff on duty is a problem. A phone number in the rooms that you can call with a problem would be nice.

It was an awesome motel in a nice little town. We stayed 4th of July weekend. The contactless check in/out was super easy and so fast. The rooms were cute, clean and a very comfortable temperature. We stayed two nights and everything was just wonderful for an amazing price. We will for sure stay again when we go to visit family on the lake 🙏
