"The Squirrels is in a great location especially if you have a dog. The grounds are absolutely beautiful.The place is clean and all very neat. But very limited on space. It’s is what it is a Shepards hut!!! A must if you are in the area is the Tin Roof Cafe entrance is in the garden centre on the main road to Danbury. Also The Cricketers in Danbury their food is amazing especially Sunday roast it’s a must."

"The owners were very welcoming and accommodating. We had everything we needed. Location is peaceful and idyllic on the lake and is really easy to get to. We felt safe and secure behind the gates. The bed was super comfortable and the house was super clean. "A lovely, comfortable, well equipped, cottage. A perfect location, with plenty to do. Lots of useful info and recommendations from Jo, the owner. Lovely walks with the dog...a co-op just seconds away in case you forgot something. We had a gorgeous Sunday roast at the Yachtsmans Arms...Maggie, my hungry springer, was welcomed too and even got her own lunch! I totally recommend a trip here..."
