"This is a pub. The rooms are accessed via steep stairs. It is a shared bathroom which is only adequate. The locals in the bar are intimidating unless you like the football crowd type of person. The bar was busy every night with proper drinkers. The smell of cannabis in the outside areas was prevalent. If you like the Tv series ‘shameless’ you would be right at home here. Saying that I would return if I was ever in the area but it’s not for everyone "

"The Eagle and Child did not have our reservation and were fully booked with other guests. We were then faced with finding another hotel at short notice. Please can you explain what went wrong with your communication with the hotel and please arrange to re-pay my £165 pounds which I had unfortunately paid in advance."
