The Inn at Round Barn Farm

The Inn at Round Barn Farm

10/10 Excellent
"We had a comfortable and amazing stay. The innkeeper was extremely knowledgeable and made wonderful suggestions to make our stay exactly what we wanted . Breakfast was delicious and varied each day and included fresh local ingredients. The grounds were stunning and well cared for. And we were lucky to see the bittern one morning !! We highly recommend a stay at this beautiful B and B !"

"Snow’s Nest was absolutely ideal for our stay and exceeds the impressions of the listing. It was an easy adjustment including the all important navigation of the kitchen. It is a light-filled, airy space that feels larger than it is. Serenely peaceful and quiet with only two nearby homes not visible at peak foliage. And for those seeking starry skies and the beauty of a dark night, this is respite from light pollution. The property is secluded and naturalized with mown walking paths, lovely for a morning stroll with coffee or winding down at dusk. If you are an amateur botanist or birder, this is a happy spot! The neighborhood is wonderful for long walks on unpaved roads with spectacular views. (Also a nearby greenway trail along a Mad River restoration project.) And all within a few minutes of grocery stores and the shops and restaurants of Waitsfield. We enjoyed joining the community for the final game of the World Cup at ‘The Big Picture’ and music and food at the Round Up Revival on the town green. Also, this location is ideal for side trips to Montpelier and Middlebury. Our only complaint was that we didn’t plan a longer stay, Also, sorry I forgot to write an entry in the guestbook!"

Lareau Farm Inn

Lareau Farm Inn

"We happened to be there during the week between weddings so had the place mostly to ourselves. Lovely farm setting with vegetable gardens and chickens and pigs to wander among. There was a lovely watercolor painting exhibit in barn. Extensive trail system right behind the fields. Manager Stacy was very gracious and helpful. Breakfast cooked to order, delicious. Very peaceful setting."

"What an incredible stay! We cannot recommend this place more. The location was beautiful, the space was adorable and roomy. Everyone we met were super friendly. All of the food establishments we tried were delicious and make sure to stop over at Emily’s Bar and Bistro- you’ll feel like you are on the set of “Cheers”"
