"When we arrived to check in the room was not ready. Turns out they were not even aware of our booking until we showed it to them. We then had to wait two hours whilst the owner came to the property to get the room ready. Waiting outside in the side proved to be a disaster as their outdoor table and chair was covered in a black bitumen type substance that got all over the bottom of my trousers and completely ruined them. "A lovely two night stay at this great hotel so near to everything the only negative and this was my fault I asked for a high floor in this horrific heat which is what I got the only problem it was second floor do in the eaves of the building and it was extremely hot. That was the only negative but again that was my fault! Breakfast was good buffet style and then we ordered hot food from the menu. Staff were very helpful would definitely recommend if visiting Canterbury"
