There are not enough stars nor points to give this hotel! It is perfectly placed near the Lakes, but not so close as to be crowded. Our room was lovely, with all the right touches and amenities: great shower, comfy bed, and REAL COFFEE! The included breakfast is fantastic, and do not miss the restaurant (we ate there 3 times in 2 days), as the food is superb! Every staff member we encountered was delightful. We would go out of our way to stay there again!

It was a nice experience and we really enjoyed it. The room was clean, staff was nice, and food was exquisite. I highly recommend Brown horse inn. Nice view.

This old manor home has been a hotel for a long time and it has a certain old world feel. But it's well-managed, comfortable, and the setting is fantastic. We had long walks on the beachfront (it's a unique sandy waterway), blustery rain, and a lovely walk into town for a nice dinner. Don't miss sitting in the lounge/library with a good book looking out over the front lawn. I would love to spend a week here with rainy days and big thick books to read.

The Ees Wyke is a true country inn with magnificent grounds and views of the countryside and lake. We stayed in the Lilac room which was large and comfortable with a beautiful view of the lake. The public spaces, i.e. living room and dining room, were beautifully maintained and elegantly appointed. The breakfast buffet was abundant and included a choice of specially prepared hot menu items, all of high quality and expertly prepared by the proprietor/chef. Enjoyed a great 3 night stay at the Hideaway. This is a true Bed & Breakfast. Our bed was comfortable and our private bath had been nicely modernized with helpful shelves and racks. The breakfasts were prepared to order from a balanced menu. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. Due to the rain we did not get to enjoy the outside sitting area but it looked inviting. Glenn and Susann were lovely hosts who showed us great hospitality. The bed was very comfortable, and breakfast was skillfully cooked to order, full of options and served with great attention. We enjoyed our stay at Storrs Gate House during our time in the Lake District.

Very clean and well laid out room interior. We were three travelers. Our room overlooked the garden with a window seating. Plenty of options for meals on premises.
