The bedroom and bathroom were lovely, the breakfasts amazing, the staff always happy to help and the location just off the A590 was perfect for exploring the whole Lake District. My only rejoinder was that the stairs to the rooms are a little challenging for someone like me who is mobility impaired. Additional banisters and/or handles would greatly help but I managed overall and we were very happy with our stay. Evening meals were exceptional too. I would rank the Hare and Hounds in Levens as...

It was a nice experience and we really enjoyed it. The room was clean, staff was nice, and food was exquisite. I highly recommend Brown horse inn. Nice view.

Cozy room, great views from the window, easy parking lot across the street, very accommodating and friendly staff, delicious made to order breakfast ready in the morning. Would stay again and recommend

Lovely country pub, with very friendly staff

Superb location. Great kitchen.Nicely renovated room. Above all staff members are super helpful

Cute, well-priced hotel in Heysham village. Wonderful English breakfasts get every day off to a good start. Location is awesome for fantastic views-2’ to the sea and 40’ to The Lakes. Rooms are cosy with nice en-suite bathrooms!

The Watermill is an old school gem in a beautiful area of the UK. they brew their own beer in this quaint and cozy area full of hills and streams.

Staff were incredible and couldnt have been more friendly. Prime location for exploring the Lake District. The view each morning while eating breakfast could not be beat either. Would absolutely come back to the Sun.

Very nice stay at Lake House. Short walk to the water and walkable to all Ambleside restaurants and shops. Our room was large and very comfortable with a great view of the lake!

Atmosphere was a mixture of locals and travelers. Relaxed and welcoming. Breakfast was served, made to order in the same restaurant and was excellent. Great area. Quiet but close to several things. Walking trail across the street allowed us some activity after dinner to a beautiful view if...
