"I’ve just returned from a night at the hotel. I stayed in a junior suite. I had to speak to the cleaner to give us some toiletries, as he’d forgotten to put them in. The room wasn’t the cleanest either. Very dirty windows amongst other things. The room was spacious. However, the bathroom was very small and dated. I had a horrid sleep. Despite the bed being a cracking size. The mattress was awful. I woke up in the morning with a really sore back. The mattress was ultra soft and overused. I pretty much slept in a ‘V’ position all night Despite the lovely view, you couldn’t see it from the sofa in the room. Even though the sofa was in front of the window. The poor design meant you looked at a thick wooden balcony post. The spa was visually nice. The hot tub was more like a luke warm tub. The pool was freezing. Breakfast was soso. I would describe the English break ingredients as cheap and the continental breakfast as limited and cheap. I wouldn’t stay again or recommend this hotel."

"Excellent hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the reception, bar and restaurant were pleasant places to sit eat, drink and relax. Our room was number 20 on the first floor. It was advertised as room with a view of the lake. The view was a bit obstructed, because unfortunately part of our view was the excavation for the new extension, presently being added to the rear of the hotel. Otherwise we had a pleasant 2 night stay and will probably book again, after the extension is complete."

"Hotel showing its age but lake view rooms very nice. Clean and tidy but older part of the hotel could do with full refurbish. Breakfast lovely and evening meal reasonable. Drinks very expensive."

"Parking very easy. A warm welcom from the friendly staff. Always greeted with a smile and a hello. Food on the menu is limited but a very good quality . Breakfast ws excellent. All food cooked to oreder"

"Parking was excellent. However when we got into our superior double room, the dual aspect views were fantastic but some of the issues we found were a bit upsetting as we spent £175 for 1 night. There was mould on 1 of the walls by the wardrobe, there was wood chipped off bedside table by side window and 1 of the lamps by the tv didnt even have a light bulb in it."

"We had a great stay with extended family in this immaculate property over Easter. The place was phenomenal, beautifully presented, with bags of character. The garden was lovely, and the sitting room was super cosy with the open fire. Lots of games for the kids, too. We'd love to stay here again, it was a real find!"
