"This property has everything you will need for your holiday. The area is so beautiful and the access to a shared pool is an added bonus. The hosts are helpful and responsive. The rooms are small and the bed is very comfortable. The duvet was perfect and warm. I agree with other reviews that the apartment is outdated and the shower could be improved (water pressure) but those items do impact the enjoyment of the space and the area. We visited from Ontario, Canada, so accessing the property by car was quite an adventure for us through winding, steep and narrow roads. I would say that was the biggest challenge for us. Overall, we were happy with our stay and wish we had a bit more time to explore everything the area had to offer. "

"The facility is a beautiful historic building with picturesque grounds. Unfortunately we were only there for 1 day. Food and wine were terrific and the very busy owners helped us with some very silly requests to operate the radiator and find global news on the TV. I highly recommend this fine hotel!"

"Clean small room. Had everything you needed. Pass code to get into each room which was better than a key. Breakfast was great. Location is great. Have to use the back entrance down al alleyway after 9pm. Local car park is £9 for 24 hours so take this into consideration. Only issues we had was the mattress was rock solid. Both woke up multiple times and was in pain the following morning. & the shower would not stop dripping after being turned off fully which kept us awake a lot too. "

"Fantastic Old Building that the staff are doing there best to maintain, but you can see some of the age here and there. But overall charming. Ran out of some key food items while we were there forcing us to eat out. Which was a mistake as some nearby restaurants were so good once samples there was no question of eating in house again. The main think was the staff overall was brilliant and the bar first class. Would stay again and highly recommend!"

"This was our 2nd stay in this delightful cottage and it didn’t disappoint. Perfectly located in the centre of Coniston to enjoy the beautiful local walks and selection of pubs. The cottage was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed. The heating was on when we arrived so very welcoming. The new bathroom was a lovely addition. The enclosed garden was great for our dogs. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again."
