"We stayed in the island lodge. The lodge itself is very nice, only downpoint of the actual lodge is lack of storage space in the kitchen. My biggest complaints about this place were 1. When making the booking it NEVER mentioned that the only way to access your lodge is via a small rowing boat. I kid you not. I was with a family of 5, and none of us had ever rowed a boat a day in our lives. Had i known this upfront i would never have booked this lodge. THIS ROOM IS NOT SUITABLE FOR ANYONE WITH...

Located across from a canal, it has extensive views of all the comings and goings on the canal. Beautiful! Please heed the owner's warning about the steep stairs. "Great apartment in a fun location. We really enjoyed being right in/on the edge of the hustle and bustle. And the location on the canal we were on was excellent. The tree-lined canal, the local restaurants and pubs, the early evening golden hour…all were great. Two things to note: the noise in the alley will definitely impact your sleep late into the night. "A gorgeous old former warehouse from the 17th century, restored reverently, in a historic and vibrant neighborhood. A picture postcard canal view out the bedroom window, and a lovely little terrace off the living room. All appliances and fixtures of the highest quality. Suffused with sunlight. When a little issue came up, Stan was on it graciously and immediately. I believe that this is the best experience we have ever had with VRBO."
