"inside of building was well maintained and very cozy. staffs were very nice seems very well trained but one thing that I couldn't make a reservation for hibachi restaurant since I had problem with login to the Hyatt app which I already told in front desk."

"I went despite the negative reviews. I am well traveled and from Trinidad & Tobago. I know good food! The staff are beyond amazing, be kind to people and they will reciprocate, even more they are pleasant and provide top notch service! From the cleaners, to the men upkeeing the grounds, to the bar men and ALL restaurant personnel, reception, spa, & guest services. Yes I interacted with many staff members! Prosperity at reception hats off! Sometimes a little love goes a long way! The food at the restaurants were excellent. Grazia, chef Keshawn my shrimp alfredo was superb! The steakhouse was awesome and Zen. I asked myself why are people complaining? You come on vacation and are picky about everything, and complain to get a free vacation? Think twice the staff work hard and the place deserves a better rating. Low occupancy can affect staff. Check yourself it's not the place. It's you who post these aweful reviews. A few things at the main buffet weren't to my pallete, which is normal but so many other things tasted were delicious and there is a wide variety of great good! But they cater for different people understand that! The impeccable staff 100/10 will make me return and the great selection of food! The beach had sargassm on some days but for the most part it was awesome and it's not Royalton's doing, it's nature. The room had a bit of a moldy smell not sure if this was because of low occupancy or being a beach front property but I was fine but best solo vacay ever!"

"If you’re considering whether to go or not, we would recommend you go. We loved our stay here because the food was so good and the staff were exceedingly kind and generous. The resort is absolutely stunning and we received a complimentary upgrade to our room which was amazing. In terms of negatives, I will say that the bugs on the resort can be a lot, but it really depends on the person (I only got one to two bug bites but my wife got more than 20). The bug spray did seem to work when we put it on, but we didn’t always have it on us. Additionally, we went in late August when the resort was probably only at about 30% capacity, which added to the calm and open feel of the resort, so take that into consideration for the review. We also took the helicopter tour to get to the resort rather than the car ride, which was definitely worth it (and the helicopter ride was way smoother than expected). There were lots of activities to take part in, which the front desk sets up for you no problem, so we felt very taken care of. The beach was great and the restaurants were delicious, but again I’ll add that the resort was mostly empty when we were there. The weather did forecast rain everyday, but that was because we got hit with a ~5 minute rain storm each morning then it passed. It only actually rained for one of the days we were there. Overall, we loved our stay and would definitely go back!"
